"Hey." Christopher says greeting me when I get to his table,

"Hi." I say back,

We start our conversation and halfway through it I feel two hand resting on my shoulders. I look behind me and see Jake,

"What's up?" I ask,

"Nothing, just felt like hanging out with you guys.

"Oh ok well here." I say moving over on to the next chair,

Christopher glares at Jake and notices I'm now staring at him, he looks away almost embarrassed. We eat a bit of our lunch without any conversation.

"Do you wanna hang out after school?" Jake asks

"I thought we were going to hang out after school." Christopher says before I can answer

"Why don't we all hang out after school?" I ask,

They both shrug and I shake my head, they are so ridiculous! I laugh to myself and here my phone beep. I grab it from the front pocket of my bag and read the text.

*Hey, what are you doing tonight cuz I need your help with something*

I stare at the text confused because I didn't give anyone my number and by now I have both Jakes and Joes number saved in my phone.

*who is this?* I send and wait a few seconds for a response

*sorry, it's Alexa. I got your number from Jake, I hope you don't mind.*

*i don't mind at all, I'm actually happy I have your number now :)*

*good. But do you want to help me babysit my niece tonight after school until midnight?*

*sure, but I'll have to tell Jake and Joe that my mom told me to stay home tonight.*

*ok! See you next period!! :)*

After I read Alexa's text I turn off my phone and place it back into my purse.

"See you guys in class!" I say and rush away almost leaving my purse behind.

I run to my locker and check my schedule again and see that in fifteen minutes I have to be in math class. I grab my math textbook and replace it with the science one in my bag. After I stuff my science book in my locker I turn around and see Skyler and her group of bitch wannabes.

"What do you want?" I sigh,

"Oh I'm just curious as to why you haven't stopped hanging out with Jake."

"Oh my god." I mumble turning away from them, deciding to run around the building into the other door and to the math room.

One of the wannabes runs infront of me and blocks my path. An few others form a half circle around us making sure there is no way of an exit.

"You're not going anywhere." Skyler tells me,

"I swear bitch's like you never learn, and you would think that after I brake you hand you would back off. But no because you want revenge for something I haven't done and won't at any point do!" I shout,

"I'm not here to start a fight I just want to know why you haven't backed off from Jake." She says,

"What are you talking about?" I demand, "I'm his friend, and nothing more! I don't want him! He's my friend!" I scream at her

"You might not like him but he sure as hell likes you!! He hits on you all the time!"

"Well than talk to him about it! Not me!"

"Bitch." She says

"Normally at this time I would slap you but that'd be animal abuse." I say and all of the wannabes' jaws drop.

I slam my locker door shut and walk to the in between of a blonde and brunette wannabe and stare at them for a second before they both step aside to leave room for me to walk through. After I win that argument I head for math class which is going to start in two minutes. After thirty seconds of walking I get to class and take a seat in the back of the class next to Christopher and Jake and being Alexa. She turns around and studies my face.

"Why do you look so smug?" She asks raising an eyebrow,

"I don't know." I shrug,

She stares at me and than Mr.Lawrence walks in and we all go silent and pay attention. At one point throughout the lesson Jake slips a note onto my desk. I unfold it and see his messy writing

'Why do you look smug?' The note says

'Oh you know just one an argument with Skyler' I write and hand it back,

'Really? What was it about?' He writes than hands me back the note.

'Actually it was about you.' I write honestly,

'???'

'She thinks I'm stealing you from her and she is throwing a fit.' I tell him

'Oh that explains it.' He writes

i go to hand him the note but right before I reach my hand in the small gap in between our desks Mr.Lawrence turns back.

"Mr. Murdoch, care to give us the answer to number eight?" Mr. Lawrence asks,

"Um, not really." He tells the teacher,

"Excuse me? You can apologize or you can go to the office right now." Mr Lawrence barks,

"I'm sorry for telling the truth." Jake apologizes with sarcasm,

"Office! Now!" He yells,

Jake gets up and grabs his stuff and exits the class to go to the office, "Mrs.Lee, do you know the answer?" He asks once The door closes behind Jake,

"Yes, the answer is two hundred and ninety eight years."

"Correct." He says and turns back to the board.

At 3:10 the last bell rings and we all jump out of our seats, we exit into the hallways and all of us split to go to our lockers. Once I get to my locker I put my textbooks in my bag and close the door. I walk down a few different hallways and finally find Alexa.

"Ready?" I ask her,

"Yep!" She says

We walk out of the school and to the sidewalk. Once we walk for a few minutes I see Christopher's jeep pull up. "When do you want to hang out?" He asks,

"Oh yeah, could we hang out tomorrow? I have to babysit with Alexa." I tell him,

"Yeah sure." He says

"Thanks your the best!" I say and he smirks

"I know I am." He laughs "ok, well I have to go. Bye!" He says and drives off.
