Anastasia was always better behaved than Drizella.
Right when she was born, she always remained the quieter of the girls.
Although, because little Anya rarely spoke a word to anyone, Drizella got all the attention in the house. Whenever Drizella painted a new picture it was always framed right away and put up on the walls of the mansion for all the world to see. Whenever Drizella learned a new gymnastic trick, all the servants must gather round to watch her perform it.
Oh, they were both spoiled enormously by their loving, wealthy parents, but Anastasia wasn't as extremely whiny and fussy as Drizella was about every little thing. A seed somehow found it's way into Drizella's cake? The entire cake must be thrown out to the pigs for the small imperfection.
All her life, Drizella never accepted anything but the best. After all, who in the world could ever deserve it more than her?
Anastasia on the other hand, preferred spending her time in the vast gardens, immersing herself in a good book.
She would imagine herself as the characters in the stories she read to her cat Lucifer (A gift from her father on her 6th birthday).
She wasn't the princess or the fairies or mermaids, she was the grubby housewife, playful dog, or nasty troll. She liked to wonder what life would be like away from all the comforts of her own home.
In fact, Anastasia thought one day, when she was 15 years old, I have never been past these gates that surround the gardens all by myself without accompaniment. She wondered how the outside world looked without servants, her parents, and parents crowding her and telling her what to do.
So a few hours later, Anastasia had packed herself a loaf of bread, and apple and some cheese she stole from the kitchen in a little basket.
Anastasia decided the only way she could find out for herself what the town was really like, she had to go alone. Without Drizella always demanding where they were to go next around the place and telling the adults what she wanted to buy at the shops.
Anya sneaked out of the gates making sure the servants didn't notice her. Anya wasn't very noticeable anyway, she always wore the blandest clothing because Drizella hated to see anyone look as fancy as herself, also because ribbons and fine cloths aren't the best to wear when one is climbing a tree.
She reached the short gate at the servant's entrance and could see the dirt road ahead of her surrounded by many deep green apple trees with tiny red dots scattered throughout them.
