The sky was dark as smoke clouded the sky. The sound of footsteps pounding on the ground, blending in with the sound of fire crackling. Sweat beaded the forehead of the young girl as she ran alongside her mother and father. Her once fancy dress was now tattered and stained with mud.

They ran toward a small clearing, the once green trees now burned down, their ashes splayed on the ground. Her mother shoved her into a small hole that was covered with brush.

"Mommy! Please don't leave me!" the girl begged, hot tears streaming down her face.

"Shh, shh. It'll be alright baby. Just remember that we will always love you, no matter what." Her mother replied, tears also streaming down her face. They both leaned in and hugged their precious daughter, already knowing what fate was in store. After their tearful good-bye, both parents stood tall and ran for the sake of their daughter.

As the young girl sat in the hole, she noticed how quiet it had become. Slowly, she crawled out of her hiding space only to be greeted by cold air. Snow slowly covered the ground. As she slowly looked around, she noticed her parents standing at the edge of the clearing.

"Mother! Father!" the young girl yelled in joy. She started to run towards them until, she noticed a red rose starting to blossom on each of their chest. And in the center, were the tips of two swords.

She stood still, horrified at the sight. Slowly, her parents limp body fell down to the snow covered ground, their blood staining the pure ground red. Two guards suddenly appeared behind her and grabbed her arms.

"NOO! MOTHER! FATHER!" She screamed as she was dragged away. She struggled against their hold, determined to get loose.

"NOOOOOO!!!!!!"
