Becoming Batman

Help

I can still see the look on Bruce's face when he told me that I would have to become Batman. I'm not sure if I can though, it's been almost five months and I haven't spoken to the team or the league. I might just have to become the old Batman, I could tell the team that 'Nighwing' is in Blüdhaven and I faked my death so you all could catch Slade, Zucco and Joker... it just might work. Of course I will have to make Wally swear to secrecy but other than that, it's a foolproof plan!

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard sirens blaring and someone screaming for help. I jumped off of the roof I was on and raced towards the screaming. I found a woman in a dark alley with thugs all around her." I'll count to 3... then you better leave!" I say to the thugs making them all turn around. One of them saw who I was and started to run away, the others followed but I took them down. Tied them up to a pole and helped the woman find the police station. My work here is done! I think to myself jumping onto another roof. Then I get a call...

"Hello? This is Nightwing."
"This is Flash."
"Whats up? Is there a problem?"
"We need you to come and join the league, take turns being in Blüdhaven and Gotham. We need Batman!"
"I'm not sure-"
"The Light is planning something big and we need the dark knight."
"Alright! But the team doesn't know... as far as they know Batman faked his death and Nightwing is busy in Blüdhaven. Wally will know it is me so I will talk with him..."
"Meet at the mountain so we can inform the team. And Dick?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't be too emotionless. It hurt Bruce, I don't want you getting corrupted like he did. You were the only thing that kept him sain..."
"I'll be fine! Ni- Batman over and out."

I stand there for a moment processing my decision. I hope this works... I thought as I leaped off a building. I grabbed my motorcycle and sped towards Gotham so I could visit Wayne Manor... and an old friend.
