The Insanity Of Draconix-Chapter1-The Dream
Drake was sitting in his desk with his head resting on his right hand as his left hand was moving around on the page, pretending to take notes but right now it was sixth period and he couldn’t care less. As he was sitting there, listening but dreaming he was hearing a voice, it sound distant and far away but couldn’t tell if it was from him being in this semi-dream state or if it was in the real world. Suddenly he was snapped awake as if he just heard a gun going off, he soon found out it was the teacher calling him and he almost instantly relaxed for the slightest moment. His attention was focused on the teacher now as if she was saying something that could change everything, but he knew this couldn’t be true.
“Drake, may I see your notes on biological evolution?” Ms.Landerler said with a slight hint of sarcasm as if she already knew what he was doing. Ms.Landerlear was a tall woman with a slim build. She had shoulder length blond hair and wore glasses, her gaze was that of claiming like as if everything she laid her eyes on was her property and she acted like her class room was her kingdom and she being the queen of it all. She was extremely smart which only added more to her ego. Drake could have sworn she hated him, but he complied and headed up to the front with his notebook in hand. He wwalked with a sluggish movement with his shoes scraping against the ground like the very life was being sucked out of him as he walked, he took a quick glance at what he scribbled but instead of just lines they seemed to be markings or symbols of some sort that puzzled him because they seemed familiar but strange all at the same time like finding a lost toy and not remembering if it really was your own or not. When he got to the front he took another glance at the notebook before handing it to her. She barely looked at not really even caring before talking to him.
“Drake do you even care if you pass this class, because by what I'm seeing it doesn’t seem that way, why do you not work? Do you just not care?” she said that last part just a bit too loud. Now everyone in the class was staring at him and he hated it. Drake was as anti-social as they come. He preferred to work alone and he showed it to always shoving people off when they wanted to work with him, Drake was a guy who liked to march at the beat of his own drum. He just wished everyone would leave him alone so he could go off and work his own things out. That’s another thing he never liked being told what to do it made him feel powerless and he swore he would fight tooth and nail to not lose his power ever again. The raven haired rebel was also genius and all his teachers knew it to which is why they always pushed him to do work but that seemed to be counterproductive. Now he had enough and snatched the notebook quicker than she knew it and went to grab his stuff. As drake was heading for the door the teacher called out to him. “Where do you think you’re going?”. The blond haired dictator said with authority as if she owned him. Right then and there drake lost it, he was already outside the room but just then he whipped right around and said.
“Away from here that’s for damn sure.” When he finished talking he started walking to the principal’s office he sat down in his usual chair one that he was all to familure with. As he sat he heard it creak and rememberd when he was there before. He had thrown the chair to its side quit hard when he got in trouble once, he can’t remember what it was for though. The memory faded away as he thought about other things. Like the scratch marks on the right arm chair deep and smooth from the constant scratch and rub. He was then remembering when he first sat there and he was nervous about the trouble he had gotten into that long time ago. Drake laughed at the thought of him back then, but now he just didn’t care anymore. In fact he liked getting into trouble; it meant he was put into a room all by himself with a desk and work. He loved being alone more than anything. No one could bother him with their stupidity. To him other people being stupid felt more like a disease that he wanted to get away from but it could never happen. It made him uncomfortable and when drake gets uncomfortable it’s not nice for anyone. But most times it would just lock it up but even then it completely ruined his mood like having the best ice cream you ever had and walking in the sunshine with a nice breaze but a strong wind comes along and blows the icecream to the side walk and you then feel empty inside and you just want to get inside. But enough of that he thought. Soon the principle walked in and sat in his chair.
“So what did you do this time drake?” he said while logging into his computer that sat on his desk off to the right.
“Well you know the usual, a teacher pissed me off and I don’t take crap from teachers.” Well the principle took a minuet to think. He finally came to an idea and he knew it would work. This man sitting in the chair behind the desk was known for making deals, it’s what helped him make the time go by and it also kept thing from being too boring with the stacks of paper work he just wish would disappear forever.
“Well how’s this, I will make a deal with you. As you know I have to give you detention but instead of sending you to the place you like most I will give you a choice. You can either have two weeks in your old spot or you can have 4 weeks in a new spot.”
Well drake actually liked being in detention, it was just him and him alone where he could work without being surrounded by idiots. So he sat there and thought for just a few seconds. “Give me my old spot back.” Drake just liked his old spot to much to give it up, and he had his own personal reasons for it to. Well it was just a few minutes more for him to get the pink slip of paper telling him basically telling him where to be and when. Which of course he already knew everything on the little pink slip of paper but he knew this was all mandatory. Well after little while he decides to walk home completely skipping his last class. He didn’t care much for it any ways. Though the walk would take him a good hour he walked it anyways, drake always liked walking long distances. It seemed to calm him down and allowed him to think freely. He has done this many times before and knew that he would make it home about the same time as if he took the bus home so his house parents really weren’t aware of him skipping.
Now after his little walk he made it home and as he walked through the door he saw little plastic bag that when he looked into it found it was some of the things he asked for yesterday when his house parents asked if he needed anything. The bag contained mainly some shower things that he was running low on currently. Drake grabbed the bag and went up stairs to his room where he dropped the bag at the foot of his bed. Drake’s room is different than the other kid’s room. The standard room was tanned walls, bed in the middle with the dresser of to the right and a closet back in the corner.
Drake’s room was black with a bed on the floor right in front of you when you open the door and the closet is behind the bedroom door when its fully opened. He had a desk in the corner when you walk through the door it would be to the right and it had little TV on it. He also had his little chill corner with a window in between to his bed and the chill area. Well after he finished his home work and set out a set of cloths he grabbed his shower things and went to take a shower. When he was out and got dressed he wore black shorts and a black muscle shirt. Drake was six feet tall pitch black hair and a medium build. He kept himself pretty fit but not to buff and liked to wear black, red, or gray. He had sort of dark blue eyes that some people would even go as far to say purple. He didn’t know who his birth parents were and so he lived in a group home. He’s been there for as long as he can remember basically. He really never talked about it much seeing how he really never had anyone to talk to. Most people were scared of him or hated him for just being him and that was one of the main causes for him being the way he was. Currently he has no one really special to him and he really didn’t care. Well now he’s lying in bed wanting to drift asleep and he soon felt the feeling of sleep covering him and letting him rest.
Drake was currently not in his room or in the United States so it seemed. He was in a plain like area and it wasn’t cold nor was it hot but at a mild like temperature. He was looking at what he thought looked like an old city like back into the medieval era but also abit modernized. He looked to his hand and found a strange object that was spherical and……glowing with those same markings in his notebook but he couldn’t recall then. Suddenly out of nowhere a voice started talking to him but it seemed to be coming from his mind. “Find me. Find me. Find me. AWAKEN ME!” that last part seemed to have woken him up and he found himself sweating even though the covers were off him and it was the still winter. “What. Was. That.”
