The Forbidden

Chapter 7 - Warning

After turning into smoke again, he left and disappeared into thin air, leaving the poor hobgoblin terrified.

'Oh no!' he exclaimed to himself ,'Should I tell those humans about it? I don't know. They'll probably torture me or something. BUT I have to tell them!' he kept his hands to his mouth as if he's biting his fingers.

He gets out of the bush as he hurried to the edge of the cliff.

'How do I even cross this thing?' he wondered. 'Hmm...' he places his finger on his chin to think of an idea.

As both the cousins made it to the foggy area, it seemed scary to them, even if it's just thick fog blanketing an area. JR slowly approached it, tilting his head.

"..." he stared.

As he decided to enter, an invisible barrier made him withdraw from it, shocked as he touched it, releasing static electricity.

"What the-?"

He approached it once more, this time slowly, as he came face to face with it, he tapped the barrier with his finger, releasing small static electricity.

"A barrier....damn it." he showed some teeth.

"Hmp. What now?" Ralf asked.

JR looked at both sides of the invisible barrier.

"We might find some way to get inside in here." JR took one more stare at the barrier, looking at either ways. Soon, he decided to go to his left as he ran, leaping and spread his wings to fly.

Ralf followed, doing the same.

The gushing wind flew once again to JR, flying to another path in order to find a way inside the barrier.

Little did they know, a creature was in his slumber.

Back in the other cliff where the Hobgoblin was, behind him in the trees, a figure suddenly teleported, leaning on the tree as he did.

"Need a lift, little guy?" he asked the hobgoblin.

The goblin got startled, turning to his back, keeping his hands to his chest as his ears were lowered like a wolf's.

"You want to warn those two, right?"

He blinked twice. He didn't seem to trust him as he just appeared to him suddenly, shaking a little, nodding anyways.

"I'll let you cross the cliff if you follow what I say..."

Reluctantly, he agreed.

Flying to the way he chosen, more endless fog arrived. He didn't know when to stop as the fog got thicker and thicker. He just kept flying and flying, until he reached a point that he had to stop, landing on the ground, Ralf doing the same.

"Hm. Endless..." he said.

"Now what...?"

"I guess we have no choice but to-"

"STOOOOP!" a voice came.

JR's eyes raised a little, looking at his surroundings to find the source of the voice.

Near their surroundings were some bushes and grey trees. A familiar silhouette lurked there. As he showed himself to them, JR turn to his left. It was the hobgoblin from before.

"T-that..." JR's mouth opened a little. Ralf just blinked, eyes raised.

"I-it's too dangerous! You have to go back now!"

The cousins were surprised, confused at the same time.

"Heh...yeah. I think it's time for you guys to go back."

A figured appeared behind the hobgoblin.

JR's eyes were at the 6-foot figure, even more surprised.

The figure smirked.

"Surprised, eh? It's alright." the figure replied.

"W-who are you...?" JR asked slowly and almost quietly.

"Oh, me? Well, let me introduce myself." he clears his throat.

"I'm that being from another world, that world you call the 'real world'." he evilly smiled.

This left the cousins stunned.
