Claire’s P.O.V.

As we entered my brother’s place, the party was in full swing.

“I can’t believe I let you convince me to come.” I yelled over the music to Audrey.

“Well, be glad you did. Look at all the hot guys!” She squealed. “Come on let’s grab a drink.” Audrey laughed and pulled me over to the kitchen. We scanned the assortment of drinks till we both settled on beers. I popped the top off of mine and took a swig.

“Guess who?” A male voice said as two hands covered my eyes.

“Um…Captain Jack Sparrow?” I laughed. I knew exactly who it was.

“Wow… you really suck at this game. That guy doesn’t even exist.”

“What the fuck are you talking about. Johnny Depp is more attractive than you will ever be.” Audrey sneered only adding to the fact of who it was.

“She’s right Zach. Sorry to say it but Johnny Depp has more appeal than you do.” I turned around to ace my drunken brother.

“Fuck no. I’m ten times hotter. And thanks Audrey for giving me away.” Zach took a gulp from his cup. I wondered what he was drinking but didn’t bother to ask. I looked over to Audrey and if looks could kill. Zach would be dead.

“Fuck you.” Audrey snapped back.

“You already have.” Zach glared back. Before the fight got worse and I was possibly thrown into it. I grabbed my drink and made my way to the living room. It was turned into a make shift dance floor, and currently it was packed with drunk girls hanging on to their fellow drunken guys. I looked around to see if I knew anyone. I couldn’t even spot Zach’s roommates.

“Claire.” A hand touched my shoulder. I turned around and came face to face with a pair of stunning, familiar green eyes. Chance Mckoi. Vanderbilt’s biggest hot shot. Known for fucking anything in a mini skirt. But also, my brother’s best friend. I looked him over and may I say he looked fit. His jeans looked sexy and his white shirt showed all his muscles. His brown hair was messy and he had that smirk on his face that made any girl swoon. Not me of course but any other girl.

“Claire?” Chance said pulling me out of my trance. “You okay?”

“Uh ya. Sorry. Hi Chance.”

“Hey beautiful.” He smiled at me. Chance always seemed to call me beautiful whenever my brother wasn’t around. “Long time no see.”

“Ya it’s been awhile.” I pulled him into a hug. “How was California?”

He released me from the hug after holding on a little longer than necessary. “Fun. I’m glad to be back though. I missed everyone.”

“Even me?” I teased him.

“Especially you.” He mumbled. I guess he figured I didn’t hear him though. He changed the subject and looked at his feet. “Um.. how are you and Riley?”

I felt tears prick my eyes. No you won’t cry over that jerk again! I scolded myself. Chance looked up at me and the next thing I knew I was in his arms again. If it wasn’t for his title of being a huge player or the fact that I was still hopelessly in love with Riley, I may have fallen for Chance. I mean he was sweet, charming, caring, and don’t get me started on his body.

“Whatever he did to make you cry, I will pummel him for.” Chance pulled away from me and looked me dead in the eyes. Concern. That’s all I saw in his eyes. It was very attractive on him. If I do say so myself.

“Thanks. But that’s not necessary.” I laughed and wiped the few tears still on my cheeks.

“If he hurt you though…”
