‘Whats her info?’ i heard one Doctor say before another retrieve us.
I looked at Naila and nodded then handed her over to the young nurse.
‘Lets go get you a lollipop’ The nurse said smiling weakly at me then walking away cooing to Naila. I rushed up along side the doctors and took my mothers hand.
‘Is she okay?’ i asked and none of them answered.
I looked at my mums pale face and said a little louder ‘Is she okay?’
They continued bickering so i screamed ‘IS SHE EFFING OKAY!? SOMEBODY BETTER ANSWER ME OR I WILL GO APE SHIT!’
Everyone was silent and looked at me. I glared at them all and they looked away. Then a middle aged man with black hair and green eyes which looked very familiar too me. I shrugged it off and turned my attention to him ‘Hello i am your mothers doctor please come this way while the nurses and other doctors work on your mother, this way’ he said gesturing to a waiting room while the rushed my mum away.
‘So how long have these occurrences been happening?’ he asked gently trying to choose the correct words.
'Um 2 or 3 years now but this was the worse one’ i answered fidgeting with my hands.
'Okay, was the offender provoked ?’
'No it was pretty spur of the moment’ i mumbled and he nodded.
'Well here is the problem Ms Gold’ i winced at the name he’d given me and quickly said 'Its Adena’
'The problem is Adena is your mum has Lorem disease that is why shes been able to maintain her weight so easily but’
'Wait what is Lorem disease?’ i asked suddenly very much interested.
‘Lorem disease is a condition when the patient feels very much in control or has really bad self esteem and their weight shows their emotions, it can be fatal sometimes and can be passed through family members.’
My jaw dropped and i barely stuttered out ‘D-does Nail-la h-have it?’
‘Nope she came back clean’
‘Oh thank-god’ i whispered and then looked up at the doctor who was staring me with a sorry expression.
What ? i asked myself and tried to stop the tears but the tears coming down my cheeks and i whispered ‘no’
**Mackenzie POV**
I walked through the hospital and turned a corner looking for my dad, and went to the nurses station. One of them had a little cute girl who had strangely the same smile as.. Nah shes to cute to be related to that monster.
‘Hey Carter, wheres my dad?’ i asked and she looked up.
‘Oh hey hun, umm i think he’s in there’ she said cooing the girl who was glaring at me.
I began walking towards the room till Carter shouted ‘Hun!'
I spun around and made it back to her desk slowly and she said ‘would you do me favor, take this little girl into that room and hand her to the girl in there , your fathers there’ she said handing over the babbling child.
