So a year ago Ken and Felix published my animation on their channels. People loved it and wanted me to do more. My animations became a regular series on their channels. One day when I hit 300000 subscribers Ken called me on skype. I was shocked, but kept my emotions cool. He had videoconference with a bunch of other people. That was the day I was invited to my first vidcon. And not the last day I chatted with them. I saved some money from my youtube partnership so I bought an airline ticket and left my tiny Hungary behind.
I got out of the taxi and looked on a building in front of me. It was a small hotel I was staying in. All the big hotels were full or incredibly expensive. It was a calm and nice neighborhood but still rather close to Anahein Convention Center, where vidcon is happening. Right when I dealed with all the formalities I went to sleep It was midday but I was too tired to do anything. And I still couldn’t believe that I’m in LA. I was awaken by people talking in a hallway. I slowly got out of the bed stumbling over my stuff. The room was lighed up by my laptop screen. Funny naked Ken wallpaper I drew was showing. I did not recognized voices behind my door. There were people chatting and laughting out loud. I needed to go to the bathroom so I pressed on the handle and looked at those people. And then fast shut the door and leaned against it. The people talking outside were youtubers that I well know. I recognized only Anthony, Kalel and Mark. I was too shy to just go out so I stayed at my room and waited till everyone will go out. But I heared single footsteps in the opposite direction from the entrance. I waited a little and then I went out. That was the moment when my heart stopped beating for a moment. It was Ken walking in my direction. When he saw me, he smiled. I was standing there in my hotel room door when he stopped by my side.
-Hey- he said- Netty? Is that you? – He asked. I looked back in his eyes. They added me some courage.
-Yes It’s me. Aren’t you… Ken? - I answered a lot bravier than I thought. He laughed shortly and bear hugged me. I was so surprised. He is a nice person also in real life. He was so tall and so warm! I could literally feel his nipple on my face. We stopped hugging and I asked him.
- What are you doing here? Why are you not staying in Hilton or somewhere else?- I asked.
-There were no place for me. And there probably are a lot of fangirls waiting for us all. – He lauhed and looked over my shoulder into my room. – I see you just moved in and didn’t have time to unpack your things – He stepped up my room and sweeped it up. I didn’t answered anything, I think he is used to the fact I’m rather shy and quiet person. People said that youtube fame changed me, but I think I’m still the same person. Still the same, short woman with green eyes. The only thing that changed is that I let my hair grow longer. I followed him and sat on the bed. I still could’t believe that I met him! He was wearing a fitting black t-shirt and funny cookie monster trousers. An awkward silence occured so I look around my room. Then I noticed I didn’t shut down my laptop. But that was too late.
- Nice wallpaper- He said a little bit confused, but still with that beautiful smile on his face. I was shocked he reacted like this I thought he will be mad at me, but he looks like he’s kinda happy with it. I wanted to explain everything to him, but suddenely his phone started ringing. He answered it quickly.
- Hello?... Okay, I’ll be there in a minute…yeah, Bye- He hang up and looked at me. – It seems like the Pewdiepie pre-Vidcon party is starting, sooh… – he smiled at me, but a little timidity showed on his face – Would you like to go with me?
- Yes, I would love to – I answered. A little smile appeared on my face, but faded quickly. – Are you not mad at me for… that? –I looked in his direction. I was too shy to look into his eyes.
- Of course not! I think that was a very funny and clever drawing of me. It almost looks like it’s real! – He laughed shortly. A weight was lifted from my heart. – But there is something we need to talk about. – He opened his mouth like to say something important but changed his mind. – Or you know what? We don’t have time for this now. Let’s go party! - He stood up vigorously and headed for the door. – Are you coming?
