It's friday night and I'm still in my office working on my laptop. It's not that I'm workaholic, but I love my job and it keeps me busy. I'm 28 years old and I work as the Head of the Department of Finance in a Multi National Company in Newyork. I've always dreamt of this life.

I hear my phone buzzing on the table and wondered who could it be. I sure have lot of friends but I wonder who are so free to call me on a friday night? They know I'm busy. (With work, what else?) I saw the caller ID and smiled to myself, picking up immediately.

"Hey Mom!" The person I love the most in the world.

"Hey sweetheart! How're you doing? Please don't tell me you're working now." She knows me so well.

"Mom...It's that I don't have any plans this weekend, so.."

"If you don't have plans, then make one dear. You are 28 years old! You are the only woman I know, that don't date and have a boyfriend for god's sake. I had a 2 years baby when I was your age. Now get your ass out of that office and go home! You have a date tomorrow." She was close to yelling.

"Mom..not again. I always end up screwing all my dates" I was bad at this.

I was never against relationships. But I hated temporary ones. My dream about life is to have a great relationship, marry him, have kids and live life to the fullest. The men I met in my life were far from this. I just couldn't get THE guy in my life. I needed the one woman-man. So I never start a relationship because I'm not sure enough they are the ones that I want to live rest of my life. Because once I start one, I'm afraid I can't leave him anymore.

"Sweetheart are you there?" I forgot about the call.

"Yeah..mom you know I don't like going on blind dates. Please don't force me" I started pleading her.

"Do you remember Sara Williams? She was my friend from high school and we went to the same college" Mom asked me.

"Is she the one that owns William enterprises? I remember you telling about her. Is something wrong with her?" I asked out of concern.

"Nothing is wrong sweetheart. She was my best friend in college. She moved out of the city after college and we lost touch.I met her accidentally  at the mall. We talked hours about our lives and our kids. She told me she had a son and he takes care of the business. She came up to the idea of you both dating each other."

How can mom decide my life sitting at a mall and having coffee? I know a lot can happen over coffee, but not my life.  I have to think of something.

"Mom..listen to me. Do you think the owner of the William enterprises is single? You know how rich kids are! You shouldn't let your daughter date someone like that!" I know my mom will not be convinced with that.

"I'm not going to listen to your excuses anymore. Now go home and get some sleep. I don't want you to look like a zombie with under eye dark circles. You are supposed to meet him at 9 sharp. I'll text you the address. Don't forget to dress up well"

"Mom..you know I dress up well all the time." Now this date is getting on my nerves.

"I know sweetheart. I'm just reminding you. Don't forget to call me after your date. Good night sweetheart"

"Goodnight mom".  Tomorrow is gonna be a long day.
