"This is the third time this month, Junkai," the headmaster sighed. "I am going to call your parents."

"Go ahead," the student replied calmly, with an expressionless face.

"Tell me, what should I do with you, Junkai? What could we do to prevent you from getting into any trouble?"

"Mr. Headmaster, it is not me who is looking for trouble, but it is the trouble that looks for me."

16-year old Karry Wang Junkai had just involved in a fight with another student over a minor incident in a basketball match. He escaped with just minor bruises to his face and a wounded lip, but the other student was knocked out and had to be taken to the hospital. The problem was, this was the third time Karry was involved in some sort of trouble at his school. The first time he set a prank on the mathematics teacher because he said he was bored. The second was a fight with a student from neighboring school after some cheering battle in a sports match.

Despite his reputation as being a troublemaker, Karry was a smart kid. In fact, he had really good grades, and had no problem in academics at all. It's just that he craved attention, and he channeled it in a rebellious way. His father owned a toy company and thus he had no financial issues. His mother passed away when he was 13, and some teachers in school speculated that this affected him deeply and his father might be too busy working and had not given him extra love that he needed.

Karry's father came to the headmasters office in an hour. "What happened to you, Xiaokai?" he asked softly, looking at the face of his son.

"Ask the headmaster," he said in a bored tone.

"You should not be rude to your father, Junkai," the headmaster warned, only to be replied with a snuff. "This way, Mr. Wang, if you please," the headmaster greeted. "I would like to have a conversation with you in private."

Once they had went into the inner room, the headmaster told Mr. Wang what had happened. "Mr. Wang, your son Junkai has no problems in academics. In fact, if he had to take the final examination tomorrow, I believe he will do well. I strongly believe that what Junkai needs, is just extra attention and care, which I feel the school is not able to provide enough. It has to come from the home. Thus I will give him a one week detention. This is his last warning, and sadly if he got into trouble again, I don't have any other choice but to return him to you. I really hope that you will use this period to have a time together with your son."

Mr. Wang sighed. "Thank you, Mr. Headmaster. I am sorry for causing you all this trouble. I would do as you suggest and I will update you on any developments. Also, did he injure any other student involved in the fight? I will cover all the expenses."

"That would be easily arranged."

"Alright," he said and exited the room. He found his son sitting comfortably and playing with his phone, without any care at all to his surroundings. "Xiaokai, pack your things and let's go home."

3 days later

Karry sat down face to face with his father in the living room. He couldn't care less about getting lectured or scolded, he will just stay quiet so that it will finish soon and he can go back to his game.

"Xiaokai, tell me honestly. Do you hate going to school?"

An interrogation again, Karry sighed inwardly and rolled his eyes. "Somewhat."

"Why?"

"It's boring."

"But your grades are good, so I suppose you quite enjoyed school?"
