Present day, I was sitting at the front desk, reporters and cameras surround me, I had just finished another episode of filming, "My Love." My acting career had debut but this wasn't the life I had ever thought to be. Flashes of light gaze in my eyes. " Andrew, why have you called this conference? You just finished your filming , what have you got for us now?"The bickering stop as I lean towards the microphone glaring passed all the wondering minds. "As you all know the show My Love has skyrocketed since episode one, but now that I've become famous, I have published my autobiography and made this career to do one thing, to find a woman." Reporters talk, "who is this woman you are trying to find?" It became silent, the new piece of scoop everyone now talks about was about to answered.
"My fiance."
It was around 16 years ago when I first met her. I before was the so called rebellious teenager who went with the road and didn't care. I was with my "friends," under aged driving, riding away on my motorcycle I bought from one of the top guy's when that one day, the cops finally went for us. We had all driven through the blocks when we finally separated and it came down to the cops, and myself. I couldn't hold off much longer as the cops would catch me soon enough. I drove off the road onto the side of a hill where I flew off my bike and tumbled down the hill to the bottom where I got up only to get back to running away from the police. But I couldn't run any faster, the fall had scratched up my arm and I had a cut all along the side of my forehead, I was tackled to the ground where I was taken to the station to be at fault of charge. It was my first offense so I was punished 90 days home arrest, but what made it worse was that the bike I had supposedly bought from Justin, my so called friend, was stolen. My mother was crying the day praying from the 3 religions she worships from to save me from my wrongdoings in life. My father only glared at my mother, scowling the scene, not one word was spoken, only thoughts. I could tell my family was ashamed of me, when are they not?
The next day during school, I skipped class to go over to my friends hangout where they ditch class as well, He was there, Justin, I went over to him playing pool when I pushed him over to the side of the table where he nearly flipped over. "You bastard, you sold me a bike that wasn't even yours!" He laughed as he pat me on the side of the cheek. "Holy shit Drew, you survived. I thought they were going to put you in jail for sure." He snickered as all the others. "This isn't funny you asshole!" Just then. I punched Justin right on the nose where he fell to the ground, bleeding while being nourished by his friends. "What the hell you son of a bitch! You're asking for it now." He tried to get up to fight back with a swing of the arm, but I quickly ducked it as I threw another punch in his gut and kicked him right side Another kick on side He grasped the pool table corner as he heavily breathed for strength. The corner of his eye was torn as the blood rushed down his face and he held onto the side of his body where bruises spread all across. I went up to him as he cowardly tried to back away. I went into his pocket and took the keys to his motorcycle."I bet these weren't stolen." I went off outside to get on Justin's bike and ride away.
I was going nowhere, I just drove. It just began to pour rain when tears flowed down the sides of my face. The ground was slippery, and my vision was blurry from the rain and the teardrops. I was driving full speed when I went around a corner, and I saw. This little girl, holding a plastic tarp over her head to protect from the rain, was running across the walkover when she saw me coming right at her. She froze still like a dear at a headlight for a second when I saw her face at the meet of danger. I tried to stop throwing my bike to the side, but it wasn't enough. I fell off the bike as it slid across almost ramming into the girl when she slipped and fell onto the road. I rose up seeing the girl lie on the ground, not moving. I ran over to her to see her still body lay there. I lifted and held her body near mine as I tried to regain her conscience. I yelled for her to respond," Little girl! Hey kid wake up, wake up!" I was mortified by the thought of the death to this girl, the tears on my face was no comparison to the pouring ran over us. I rapidly patted her cheek shaking her body whole, when suddenly, her eyes opened. I held my breath as she looked straight into my eyes. We both were caught in the scene, looking in one another for what felt like forever. But in that few seconds, she closed her eyes again, her breath slowed down and her body had weaken. For the first time, I was scared. I screamed around for others to help."Help. Please help, this little girl lost conscienceless, Please call an ambulance. Please someone help!" That was the night, that I first met her.
Few days later, I was sent to court. Filed underage driving stolen property, all under the same reason I was charged last time for house arrest, which in that only made it worst to be sent again to the station. Now for injuring and almost death to a younger girl, I was charged 10 years in juvenile detention. The judge slammed his hammer as the court was adjourned. I heard my mother in the back rows crying for my life to be better but was seen forever loss. As the papers were being settled and I was ready to be sent away for what felt for my life, the side doors opened, and out came a little girl, drenched from the rain and desperate to be heard. "Don't punish him, his bike didn't hurt me, I slipped on my own, I promise. He rushed over to me and pleaded for someone to call an ambulance, he was trying to help me. Please don't punish him." My back was turned over to her as she stood there, staring at me. That day, the case had let me go with my regular stand of 90 days house arrest. That night I avoided my family as they repeatedly entered my room and tried to talk to me. I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling thinking, who is this girl, and why do I feel these ways I've never felt? That night, I only thought of the girl that I wanted to know, to see, to be around.
