*Just as any other day, Louis was sat in the park with his travel bag, and enjoyed watching people walk around and get on with their life.

Quite a few people looked at him, usually not sparing a second glance. Most likely because of the ring of flowers on top of his head.

He honestly doesn't mind though, he's happy living outside at the park, meadows, or in the subway station.

His medium sized over the shoulder bag he carries has all of his belongings.

Louis can honestly say that he is happy, and wouldn't change for anything, or anyone.

-

Some people will drop a few coins, and he saves the money just in case.

He doesn't know where he is, not that it matters.

He goes from town to town, sometimes even making a few friends along the way, and one of those friends is Niall.

He doesn't wear flowers or anything like Louis does, but he does travel with him, and they add their money together. What's Louis' is Niall's, and what's Niall's is Louis', it's just how they work.

He's basically a younger brother to Louis, but not too young, there's only a two year difference. Him being seventeen, and Louis being nineteen.

Louis met him at an underground station, back in Doncaster, where Louis used to live.

On one of the first nights of his travelling. It turned out Niall was doing the same, but has already been doing it for about a year so far, and he was only fifteen, and Louis was seventeen.

He doesn't like to talk about it, but he left because he didn't have a happy home life, which Louis understands.

Louis' parents always fought, mostly over him, about how he was 'a bad influence on the girls', from his father's opinion. Louis' knows his mum loves him regardless, but sometimes it just got too hard. Even if he was seventeen, it still hurt.

He misses his mum and the girls every day, but he knows he can't go back, they all know that.

Louis' mum needs his father because of financial reasons, having to take care of herself and four daughters.

He knows they miss him too, but obviously not his father, being the one who said to "Get the fuck out, you aren't needed here, or anywhere."

Everyone has a purpose in life, Louis' just hopes to find his before he gives up.

-

Niall is really the only friend Louis' needs, they understand each other, and stick together. They've had a few problems in the past, like arguing over silly things, but in the end they both know they literally wouldn't be able to live without each other.

They combine their spare change every three days; to buy some food at where ever is convenient at the time. Usually they end up asking where they are, just to get an idea of what direction they're heading.

They have a map, but it doesn't do much for them.

They don't have a set destination.

-

Their hygiene usually isn't much of a problem, where ever they go there is always a local public gym or pool in the city, where they can sneak in and shower.

Louis never does this, but sometimes Niall will even swipe other people's clothes from unlocked lockers while everyone else is in the pool.

Louis' doesn't complain though, they eventually do need more clothing items, since they don't have much variety anyway.

Once a month they use their spare quarters to wash all of their clothes at a Laundromat, and let them dry by themselves.

Niall made another friend in Doncaster, his name was Liam. He said if they ever needed somewhere to stay, to come back to Doncaster, and that he'd have no problem with them being there.

Niall and Louis agreed that they are happy with where they are now.

Louis has always have been an outdoors-y kind of person. He likes exploring, seeing new places, and admiring the nature around him.

But right now, he was still sitting on the park bench, waiting for Niall to come back from the store across the street. He decides to make something of his time, and starts picking pink and orange flowers from the flower bed that's on either side of this bench.

Niall usually takes a while, he has to add up the prices of what he's buying, and count their money so they know what will be left over, too.

Louis' crosses his legs, and starts fiddling with the stems of the flowers in his hands, carefully weaving them together. He takes the two ends of the line of flowers that he had made, and ties the ends together.

He takes off his old one, on which the flowers had started to die, and sets it under the bench, and places the new one in his hair.

It was a bit loose, but it would be fine.

-

After another ten minutes, Louis' sees Niall come out of the store from across the street. He walks over to Louis' with a plastic bag, and a new map.

"The lady at the counter says we're in Goostrey, Cheshire."

They have a look at the map, and they both noticed that they've gone pretty far over these two years.

"Wow..." Louis whispers, while peering down at the map.

"Yeah, fucking wow." Niall says.

"Well are there any big cities around here? Since this town is pretty... Empty." Louis asks him.

"Yeah, we're approximately two miles from a place called Holmes Chapel, so we're practically on the outskirts of it." Niall tells Louis, and Louis' nods.

"So I take it that'll be our town for the next while?" Louis wonders.

"Sure, why not." Niall agrees.

They begin walking, glancing at the map occasionally, and looking for poles with street names on it.

Louis sighs, only two miles until he can sleep for the night. The sun was starting to go down, just skimming the horizon.

He knows that this won't take long, but he was already dead tired.

Whenever they're walking to somewhere, Louis always start thinking about things. Mostly things about his life and his family, but also wondering how he's going to turn out in the future.

He wonders if it will always be like this, just Niall and him, going from place to place. Not that he wouldn't want that, but change can come out of nowhere, and that's what he's scared of.

Change.

He likes how his life is right now, and he'd like it to stay this way.

Louis' has no idea where he's heading in life, but everyone has a place in this world, and he suppose he's just trying to find his.*
