Love Bites (Liam Payne Fanfic)

Chapter 17

Liam's P.O.V 

 "Midnight doesn't last forever, dark turns to light. Heatrache flips my world around I'm falling down down down that's why." I sang my part in the song and then I heard cries. Riley stopped screaming and a look of relief settled on her face.

 "Its a girl." I was thrilled. Obviously everyone waiting outside was as well, because there were shouts and cheers. She was wrapped in a towel and given to Riley, who still sat in the water.

 "You did it! I'm so proud of you." I kissed her passionately and then kissed the forehead of the little girl. "Hi little one, my name is Liam, but you can call me dad."

 "Congratulations. I'll be back tomorrow to make sure everything is good."

 "Thank you doctor, for everything." He nodded and left. But was bombarded at the door by the lads.

 "Can we see her? How is she? When can we see her?" Louis spoke all in one breath.

 "Not just yet, she needs rest and I'm sure thats all she wants to do at this point." The door closed leaving me alone with Riley and the baby. I couldn't stop smiling, at the baby, at Riley, everything.

 "Liam, congrats mate." Niall was at the door. I kissed Riley's knuckles and got up to talk to them, but not before getting her approval.

 "Thanks, she's perfect. Um, Riley said if you guys want to see her, you'll have to look from the door. I dont think she wants everyone to see her in this condition." They crowded around the door and I opened it back up. Riley sat in the tub holding the baby, she looked up and smiled at me which caused me to smile in return. She was so beautiful, even now. How she was my mate, I didnt know. I didnt deserve her or the baby in her arms.

 "I want to see!" Ali stood at the back of the group and her being the smallest, she couldn't see a thing. Louis grabbed her waist and lifter her up onto his shoulder. "Hi Riley!"

 "Hi guys, say hi." She waved the little girl's hand. Suddenly, a look came across her face. "What happened to Dante?"

 "Still knocked out on the floor. You want us to get rid of him for you?" Harry asked.

 "Liam, when he comes to he's gonna want to see her."

 "No, Riley I don't want him anywhere near you or her."

 "He is her father after all Liam. One look and you can throw him in his own dungeon. No vampire can escape, not even him." I really didn't want that asshole anywhere near her. But I figured, if he saw his daughter once and then never sarw her again, it would kill him. So, I thought what the heck!

 "Fine, one look, but then I'm bringing him to the dungeon. But, until he comes to, you need rest." In truth, I was gonna make him pay for what he did to her, as if beating him to unconsiouness wasn't enough.

 "Liam, I've been resting for a month now. I cant sit in a bed or a bathtub any longer! I need to do stuff."

 "Not after this. We'll get you cleaned and dried off and then you and I are going to lie down and you are going to sleep." She had the worst look on her face. But I stood my ground, she had to rest other wise she would be crabby and no one wanted that.

 "Oh fine!" I took the baby from her to give to someone outside so I could help her out.

 "Kyla!" I shouted. she opened the door a crack.

 "Could you take her? I have to help Riley into some clothes and then into a bed."

 "Totally, come to auntie!" She was so excited.

 "My clothes are in that drawer, the top one." I didnt know what she'd need so I just grabbed. She stepped out of the tub and I couldn't help myself, she was just too beautiful. I kissed her but she pushed me away. Before long she was dry and in some clothes. She was wincing a bit and I had to do something to stop her from hurting. So, I picked her up bridal style and carried her out of the bathroom. The boys and girls were sitting all around the chair Kyla sat in with the baby. Niall hugged Riley.

 "How are you feeling Riley?"

 "Sore, but great."

 "What are you gonna name her?" Brianna asked.

 "I was thinking, Lily Rose." She turned her face to look me in the eyes.

 "It's perfect." Just like she is. Both her and her mom.

 "Someone look tired. Off to bed now." I couldn't tell if Harry was talking to me or to Riley, she could barely keep her eyes open.

 "If you want the comfiest bed in the castle, Dante's room is where to go." We looked at Kyla quizzically. "What, he would tie me up there sometimes. Dont freak out Niall, nothing happened. After Riley, you know, he didnt do anything like that again. He would just beat me for my big mouth." Niall hugged Kyla and said something that no one could hear. I took Riley to find wherever Dante's room was. We must have walked down a hundred corridors before we happened came across a door that looked particularly lucky.

 Dante had the oddest bedroom for a guy, no judgment. In the middle of the room was a gigantic, four-poster bed, black velvet drapes for privacy, crimson colored comforter and pillow cases. There were candles on the side tables which had me baffeled considering the huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling, but whatever.

 I set Riley down on the bed so she could situate herself and so I couldn't hurt her anymore than I  already have. Once I saw she was good, I climded in next to her. Instantly her head fell to my chest and my arm wrapped itself around her, holding her close to me protectively. She held down with one arm around my waist. Absentmindedly, I played with her hair and we just sat there in the quiet, glad to be back in each others arms.

 "What about Lily?"

 "The lads and girls have her, for now, you should sleep."

 "Liam, earlier, when you guys busted into my room, your eyes were red. When did you change?"

 "I didn't, Harry and Louis offered to tranfered some strenght to Niall and I before we came. The red eyes were just a side effect, I'm sure it worn off by now. I'm holding you to your word that you'll change me when the time is right. I dont want it to be anyone but you."

 "Liam?"

 "Yes love?"

 "Could you sing me something, I dont care what, just a song?"

 "Sure." I began to sing Truly, Madly, Deeply, a song that I thought fit our situation perfectly. Within minutes, Riley was asleep and her soft breathing was lulling me to sleep. My only thoughts were, this will be us for the rest of eternity, Riley and I never growing old, watching Lily grow up and us just being together. I may even make her Mrs. Payne. I fell asleep with wonderful images of us and a smile on my face.
