Louis carefully picked up the piece of paper that was laid on the counter top and held it between the tips of his fingers. There were a few crinkles on the sheet, paired with words delicately scribbled in purple ink.
'I know what you did,' the note read. Louis swallowed hard while his eyes scanned the distinct handwriting multiple times. He could recognize the handwriting in a heartbeat. It had come from his girlfriend. Well, ex-girlfriend now.
He had really messed up this time, doing something he never thought he would ever do to the love of his life. He was well aware that Riley was a beautiful girl - perfect in every conceivable way - but he still did it. He cheated on her.
Since she figured out Louis' dirty little secret, she had not even attempted to communicate with him. How could she? Her heart was broken, and she didn't want to hear the voice of or see the face of the person who caused it.
And now Riley vowed to hurt him just as much as he hurt her.
