*Ring Ring*.
"Okay class remember to pick up your pop quiz results on the way out, and I want my homework tomorrow." Mr Charles exclaims. I get up and head for the door. "Nice work Miss Ross." Mr Charles hands me my paper. A+ ,what I'm used too. I walk towards my locker, as I pass by Lacey talking to Becky Reign.
"I can't believe they broke up." Lacey turns to the water fountain next to my locker.
"I know right he has some serious exclaiming to do." Becky says.
"But at least now the hottest guy at school is available."
"Ya but I wander who Zara is with now." And off they go leaving a trail of bewilderment behind them. Are they telling me (well not really) that Paul Smith is finally single? That his days with Zara Newman a finally over? I feel a vibration in my pocket and take out my phone. There's a message that I think everybody got, seeing that everyone is looking at their phones. I read the message. Finally gotten rid of her, now I'm single anyone want some.
I stare at this message that feels like for ever, until another beep from my phone. Hey, meet me in cafeteria need to talk! It's obviously from Stacey I think she got the message as well.
"So,what is it?" I ask as I sit down at our usual table.
"Um haven't you figured it out yet, your dead meat if I were you I would be getting one way ticket to Canada!" she cries.
"Okay, first calm down and second what on earth are you talking about?"
"Girl, everyone thinks you're the reason Paul and Zara broke up. There's some rumor going around that you are dating Paul and that caused the break up, you should be on the run by now." She shrieks. But this makes no sense what so ever why anyone would think I would try to break up someone's relationship.
"You bitch, what's wrong with you!"
"This is so low Ross, even for you!"
"Jealous!"These are some of the things that I'm told when I walk out of school. I meet Vanessa at the car.
"Sorry about this entire nuisance sis." She sighs.
"Um its okay, I just want to go home."
"There's mum." Vanessa points at our blue Volvo.
When we reach home I run straight to my bedroom and start packing up my things for the weekend. For the first time ever I don't care about Paul, all I care about is getting out of here. There is too much on my plate right now. I feel another vibration in my pocket, I swear if it's another thing about school I will through this phone out my window.
"What!"I say as I through my flats into my suitcase.
"I have great news, I called Jessica and apparently Paul is leaving this weekend." Stacey says.
"Great,"I say with sarcasm, "now my problem is following me." I flop on my bed.
"Hey don't give me attitude I know you're in a bad mood, but that doesn't mean you have to be bitchy."
"Sorry, thanks for the info I'm going to leave this weekend as well then."
"Have you gotten a ticket yet?"
"Oh my,I totally forgot, I need to get one before they close." I look at my watch, "it's almost nine o'clock I need to hurry."
"Do you need a ride or something?"
"Um no thanks I'll take mum's car."
"Okay babe, talk later?"
"Talk later." I hang up, grab my sweater, boots,, purse and dash downstairs.
"Mum! I need to borrow your car." I shout I find her in the kitchen preparing dinner.
"Why?"she asks while laying out the table.
"Well I forgot to buy a ticket, for my bus ride to New York and so I need to buy it now."
"Okay darling go ahead but be back in thirty this lasagna can get cold real fast, here are the keys." She throws the keys into my hands.
"Thanks, see you in a few." I run out of the door. The cold air stings my face as I run towards the car. I enter start the engine and set off.
Thank the living God that these people are still open.
"Hello, may I help you." Says this short but very pretty woman behind the counter.
"Um yes you can," I laugh and walk towards her, "I would like to buy a ticket to New York for this Friday's trip." I hand her my money.
"Um sorry doll were sold out."
"What!"my smile suddenly fades away. "But you can't be."
"Sorry,maybe another weekend."
"Um,it's okay, thank you." I sulk. As I walk out of the shop I suddenly decide to give up on this college completely, I've even forgotten its name. This is not my day first the Paul thing now this.I walk to the car and decide to sulk there for an extra five minutes before I go home and cry.
