Bars now was falling to the ground. I couldn't help but cry and cry. Tears kept running down my face. I saw Justin crying too. I saw Sam taking off and disappear into the woods.

We quickly went to Bars, laying on the cold ground. I saw Justin looking where Sam shot him. He looked to his leg. (The spot where the blood was coming from.) Justin quickly sighs relief.

"The good news is that he isn't going to die." Justin says.

"What's the bad news?" I say holding my breath.

"The bad news is Sam is going to survive." Justin says scrunching his nose.

"Why isn't he waking up?" I ask.

"He probably heard the gun fire and blacked out before the bullet hit him." Justin answered.

I nodded, still wondering if Bars getting hit with a bullet was my fault. I quickly removed that from my brain and helped Justin carry Bars up to the treehouse.

"He weighs like one thousand pounds." I say.

Justin rolls his eyes. I smile and then we finally get to the top of the tree. We carried Bars inside of the treehouse and laid him on his bed. Justin and I were exhausted. We laid down and I heard Justin go to sleep.

But I wasn't. I was thinking about my ear and what would happen if I went deaf. But I can't here Justin's voice if I can't hear. I started to get in a huge argument with myself. Then I settled it by just doing everything I can to not be deaf.

I had a dream that night, about Bars being dead and everyone saying it was my fault. I didn't like it at all.

In the morning I tried to knock every negative thought out of my head.

"Sierra." I heard someone say.

I looked up and saw Bars' face but he was in a chair and Justin was wrapping something on his leg. I got up and saw them, they were trying to stop the bleeding on Bars' leg. I tried to say something but I couldn't I was just so tired.

Finally, I got the nerve to get up. I looked at Bars' leg and I was glad to see that the bleeding had stopped, thanks to Justin.

"Are you okay?" I ask Bars.

"I guess so, but I don't know." He answered.

then we heard the exact same shotgun sound as Sam's gun.

Boom!

Justin groaned.

"What is she shooting now?" Justin asked.

"I don't know but we're going to find out." I answered.

"But what about Bars?" Justin asked.

"I'll, just stay here." Bars said.

"Are you sure you'll be able to keep yourself safe?" Justin asked Bars.

"Dude, I'm positive." Bars answered.

Justin smiled. Then Justin and I walked out the door. We went where we heard Sam's gun shot, but she wasn't shooting anything but a tree.

I tried to walk up to her but Justin grabbed my arm.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Going up to her." I answered.

"She will kill you." Justin said.

I sighed. We went and hid behind a tree to see what Sam was doing. What we saw was odd. Sam was just shooting a tree over and over again. But when she tried to do it another time she couldn't because her shotgun was out of bullets.

Sam slammed her gun to the floor and walked off.

"What is she doing?" Justin asked.

"Hmm. Maybe she is doing target practice." I said slowly.

"Where's the target?" Justin asked.

"I don't know." I said.

Sam walked back into view. She had a bag. She pulled bullets out of it and put them in her shotgun. Then she aimed her shotgun at the tree Justin and I were hiding behind.

The tree was big and fat so there was no way that Sam could see us. Sam started shooting the tree. The booming sounds were so loud. I took a step back but fell over a tree stump.

I think Sam heard that because she started walking to me and Justin. Justin helped me up and we saw Sam sitting there with her bag and gun.

Justin must've thought she wasn't a real hunter because he started going crazy.

"What on earth were you thinking?!" Justin screamed.

"I didn't know what I was thinking. But I'm truly sorry." Sam said.

"You hit my brothers leg." Justin told her.

"I did and I'm sorry." Sam apologized.

"Okay, she apologized, we can go to our treehouse now." I whispered to Justin.

"Not yet." Justin whispered back.

I was confused but I didn't stop him. I wanted to see what he was going to do.

"So... Sam, why were you shooting a tree?" Justin asked.

Sam's face got bright red like a tomato.

"Uh... I don't know what you're talking about." Sam said.

"What are you talking about? We saw you shooting a tree." Justin angrily says.

"Uh... I don't know what you're saying." Sam told him.

As quickly as that she ran off towards our treehouse.

"Where is she going?" Justin asked.

"Towards are treehouse." I answered.

"Bars is in there. Come on!" Justin said stunned.
