No other term but lazy, no music, but it'll come back

It was nighttime. The stars were shining bright as well as the moon.

Mikasa was sitting on the rooftop of the Guardian's headquarters, watching the small lights flicker. A small breeze blew across the tiled roof. The woman shivered; her neck was cold.

"A bit cold to be stargazing, isn't it?" Klaus joked.

She simply glared at him and returned to watching.

Klaus sat down next to her and watched with her.

"That one," Klaus pointed to a star, glowing with a bright amber hue, "that one there is my favorite. For the past twenty-three years, it has been."

"Why?" Mikasa asked.

"Because it reminds of me of my mom," he answered, "It makes me feel so long as it's there, she's never truly left me."

"Then you're carrying around all that guilt which will hold you back," the woman said.

"I don't think of it as holding me back," Klaus responded with a smile, "More of a reminder that as powerful as I am, I can't save everyone. In the end, I'm still human."

"Mm," Mikasa replied.

"So what's holding you back, Mikasa?" the eldest Jaeger asked.

There was a second of silence before she said, "Nothing."

Klaus chuckled, then said, "That is the biggest load of shit I've ever heard. Plus, I know love and a broken heart when I see it."

Mikasa's eyes widened upon hearing the phrase.

"Got you there, didn't I?" the Superior Titan Shifter said.

"Who told you?" she threatened.

"No one," he answered, "I just pick up on things quickly."

"Well, I don't love him anymore," Mikasa said, venomously.

"The color in your cheeks says otherwise," Klaus returned.

Mikasa brought her knees up to her face, which had a scowl on it.

"Don't worry," he said, "I won't tell Eren how you truly feel about him. In fact, I'm going to watch with pure entertainment once he figures out."

She let out a small grin and said, "You sound like Armin and Annie."

"Because I just so happen to agree with them," Klaus brought up, "anyways, I brought you this."

Klaus slung a black scarf around her neck.

"This way you're not freezing your head off," he said before getting up and going back downstairs.

Klaus passed Eren's room on his way down. The door was open. He was eyeing a plot map of the walls and the locations of Guardian assists were circled, which were dated.

"If you weren't so goddamn stubborn, I'd call you committed," the eldest said.

"I'll give you that one," the youngest replied turning around, seeing Mikasa walk by, wearing the black scarf.

"Where'd she get the scarf?" Eren asked Klaus.

"I don't know," he answered, seemingly innocent, "Good friend, maybe?"

"Guy friend?" the commander continued.

"Boyfriend, I think," Klaus acted, "Tall, black hair, brown eyes, and surprisingly handsome for being from the outer wall."

"Oh, so she's seeing someone," Eren said, a touch of anger in his voice.

"Apparently," Klaus responded, then he noticed his brother's concealed rage, "You okay?"

"Oh, I'm fine," he said, turning around and clenching the sides of the table, "I am postively, one hundred percent, absolutely--"

The wood, where his hands were, smashed and splintered under his sheer strength.

"--fantastic," Eren growled through his teeth.

So you do have feelings for her, Klaus thought.

He looked down at his younger brother's hands to see they were bleeding.

"I think you should see a medic about that," the eldest told.

"Yeah," Eren rasped, walking out and repeatedly saying ow.

Two days later...

"Hey," Armin called to Klaus, "I need to show you something."

Klaus turned and said, "What is it?"

The Englishman had a newspaper in hand and showed the Titan Shifter, "You made the front page."

                                      SUDDEN AND SURPRISING REUNION

A few days ago, the press came upon information stating that a mysterious individual is related to one of our most renowned Commanders. Though we have not seen his face, we do know that he is the eldest brother to Guardian Commander Eren Jaeger, and all else we know is that his name is Klaus. It has also been said that he is in charge of a phantom and long-forgotten regiment known as the Assault Corps. We have seen few of these 'ronin,' as he calls them, most being seen in dark alleyways and then disappearing in the blink of an eye. With curiosity at it's peak, we asked Commander Eren Jaeger for any other info, but he turned down from the brief interview. The picture above was given to us by an unknown citizen.

And above the text was a black and white picture of Eren and Klaus walking together, thankfully having his guise up.

"So," the Titan Shifter started, "None of us graced the press with this info without me knowing, so someone wants me exposed."

"That's what I thought," Armin said, "so that leads to only one conclusion."

"We have a shadow following us," Klaus finished.
