Kat ran to her room to grab the pistol she had under her bed for an intruder. She told her friends to stay where they were. She looks out the window and she sees.....
" Gosh darn it Bryce. " She said putting the pistol down and sighing. She walked back to the living room with angry face.
" It's Bryce." She angrily announce to everyone. She sees everyone sigh in relief. Anna rushes to open the door as it was below 30 degrees out there.
"Hey guys people are acting crazy in downtown I just came home from the mall and it was like black Friday down there. Someone bit someone's ear off!" He seemed to gasp after every word. "I just ran down here to see if you guys were okay." Kat not as angry pulled out a dinning chair for him to sit in and she made him a cup of sweet tea.
"So... Wait, that video we just watched... was it real?" Kat question to no one.
" What video?" Bryce asked questionably. Ashleigh gave him the tablet to see the video.
The girls hear the horrific audio again Kat cries at the pain in the women's voice. "What the?! What kind of sick joke is this?!" Bryce said as he turned off the video
" I think the zombies are real ." Kat said, everyone else nod their head.
"What! That's jumping to conclusions!" Bryce said surprised at Kat's accusation.
"Did you see what those people did to that reporter i don't think normal humans would do that unless they were infected with some virus or were mentally unstable." Kat debated.
" Yeah but..." Bryce trailed off, fear painted his face.
"So what do we do?" Kate asked.
"Me and Bryce will cover the windows, Ashleigh and Anna inventory the food, Abi and Kate get any weapons like the guns and knives or anything that can be used as weapons and Nikki get medicine or anything medical and get candles." Kat responded with a stern voice. Kat went to the pantry and grabbed her tool box ,then gave Bryce the box.
"I'm gonna go get the wood from the carport. Be right back." Kat said but Kate stopped her.
"You can't do that, what if their out there?" Kate said worry in her voice. Kat looked at her with a sadden expression. " I have a gun for a reason." Kat hugged Kate and open the door, at that moment she looked at everyone. She saw everyone in their pajamas besides Bryce and a worried expression on their faces. She gave a sad smile and closed the door.
As much as she was trying to stay calm for the others she was so scared of going out there. Hell she didn't even know how to use a gun. "You can do this Kat." She said under her breath looking at herself. Her DC/AC shirt making her look smaller and her heart leggings looking out of place in the circumstances she was in. She looked up and she saw her neighbor's house but she didn't dare go over there. She walked to the carport scared of what she was going to find.
"I'm going with her." Kate said, as she went to get her shoes from the living room.
"Oh hell no you're not." Abi said, with a serious expression. "We don't need two people to die and from what Bryce said the zombies are downtown so we have sometime to prepare before they come all the way here."
" I know but still..." Kate trailed off.
"Come on let's find some guns!" Abi's seriousness faded away and she was back to her silly self.
"I'm gonna find some medical equipment and some candles." Nikki, said her voice trembling a little from the situation she and her friends were in.
"NO BB STAY WITH ME AND KATE." Abi whined.
"Abi no. I need to do what Kat said." Nikki said going to the bathroom to find what she needs.
Abi pouted but then went into one of the bedrooms. Kate followed with a sad expression and kept looking back to the door debating to go outside for Kat but she decided Abi was right and kept following. Anna looked at Ashleigh
" So we're inventorying I guess" Anna said awkwardly. Ashleigh and Anna never really hung out by themselves. "Yep, um... I'll go get some p-paper and a pencil." Ashleigh responded, putting her tablet back. Ashleigh's voice shook with fear.
