Autumn leaves fall
Down on the dirt,
And under it all,
Dirty hearts ache and hurtMy love, though fair was that face
And she had gently curled hair,
And her steps that had such grace,
Her beauty to her love, though, did not compareThat love she claimed she had was a lie
She has gone and cheated with another
Under the leaves, my old heart will cry
Her new man, with love she will smotherI wish I had given her my all
Everything that I could give
My being heaves as I bawl
No longer do I wish to live.Autumn leaves fall
Down on the dirt,
And under it all,
Dirty hearts ache and hurt
