If We Make It: An SAO Fanfiction

Chapter 2

I log into the game and create my avatar.

Its pretty. I have a really cute short teal pixie cut and bright blue eyes. I wear one of the starter outfits in shades for teal and blue. I choose a one handed sword that would go well with a sheild but they look clunkly so I go without.

The game beings and I start in the town of beingings.

I look around at all the other people spawning. I still can't believe we're in a game!

I feel a tap on my should and I look around to see a boy. "Hello?" I say.

The boy looks at me with a smile on his face "I'm Tadashi!" He says. I can't help but smile back, "I'm Hoshi" I reply. "Is this your first time?" He asks me, I nod. "Same here", "Its so cool we're in a game!" I say moving my hands in front of my face, "It feels so real" Tadashi adds in.

We start walking to a feild nearby to sit. "So Tadashi, Wanna form a party?" I ask. His face lights up, "Of course!" He says with his adorable smile. A screen pops up in front of me that says Tadashi would like to form a party. I, of course, press yes and his name apears right under mine. He smiles again at me.

We suddenly hear bells ringing, our avatars start to glow. Panic fills me and I quickly grab Tadashi's hand and close my eyes tightly.

When I open them we are back in the town of beginings, my hand is still in Tadashi's I quickly let go. All of a sudden we see a large man in a black cape appear, The sky is filled with red notifications that say system annocement. The Man in the cape beings to talk. "As most of you have already figured out there is no log out button."

My heart starts beating faster and faster. This can't be happening. I quickly swipe and bring down the menu. He's right, there is not logout button! I look back up at him with panic in my eyes, "This is not a mistake" he says. "The only way you can escape the game is if all 100 floors are cleared." I hear. No! No no no. This can't happen. The caped man says he is akihiko kayaba, the creator of this game. He says that if our nerve gears are removed from our heads it will send electrical currents into our brains and kill us.

Out of fear I hug Tadashi tightly, I feel tears. Hot tears stream down my face. He tells us to look into our inventories. I find a mirror. I look into it but then my body starts to glow, I notice the same thing is happening to everyone else. I look back into the mirror to see my very own face. Not the avatar I created. Me.

My dark blue eyes start to tear. I've always been so self consios about how I look. I'm from North American. I'm not really Japenese like the rest of these people. My tears stream down my freckled cheeks and down to my chin. I look up to Tadashi, his black hair actually turned out to be brown, he had dark brown eyes and a kind looking face. He looks at me and hold me close. I can tell he's scared too.

The rest of what kayaba says goes one ear and out the other. I'm scared. I want to leave so badly.

Soon Kayaba disapears and the crowd starts yelling, people panic.

"Hoshi, come on." Tadashi grabs my hand. "Where are we going?" I ask. "To the next town over. Soon all the loot will be gone and we'll be poor." I nod.

And thus our adventure begins.
