=Aphmau=
We recently arrived at the island, our new home. This place seems to contain strange magic. There are giant ruins still partially intact, and an eerie familiar feel to it all."Aphmau," I hear Laurence call my name.
I instinctively turn around only find him standing right behind me. We were now face to face and I could hear his breath hitch at the realization of our position. I cleared my throat and backed up so that we were now a good two feet apart.
"Sorry," Laurence mumbled under his breath.
I nodded, "so what do you need?"
"Zoey just arrived. Brendan will be arriving tomorrow along with his wife and kid. Yip will come as well," he stated the current situation back at the main base. I rarely went over there. Normally I was situated on the most intact part of the ruins. Believe it or not this place had a very relaxing atmosphere to it.
"Ok," was all I said and continued to peacefully admire the ruins.
"Aph?" Laurence hadn't left like I thought he would, "are you all right? You seem to be out of it lately. You talk less and always spend your time here,"
I nodded slowly to show I was perfectly fine, happy even. This place had a very familiar look to it, I just couldn't place my finger on it just yet.
Laurence took my hand in his and sat down. I didn't move an inch, I just let him hold my hand. He smiled at me sadly and looked around with the same hypnotized expression I must've had.
"So you feel it to?" I asked.
He nodded, "I dont know what it is, but it's both beautiful and sickening,"
I turned my head away from him and looked up at the sky. It was getting dark. I suggested we return and he agreed, though he did seem reluctant to let go of my hand.
"You don't have to let go," I told him.
"It doesn't feel right to make my move until Garroth has had his shot," he sighed, "but I suppose this is harmless,"
He held my hand once more and we walked to the camp. I'm not sure if my feeling for Laurence are strong, or if they're really feelings at all, but I do know that he gave me strength and comfort. When we got to the camp I spotted Zoey with Aaron surrounding the baby crib. Inside was Lilith and Nicole's kid Dimitri was asleep on a bed next to the crib. My heart was warmed at the sight of two innocent creatures sleeping so peacefully.
"Hey Aph," Zoey greeted me.
I instantly hugged her, "hey Zoey, good to see you,"
I let go of Laurence's hand and walked to my tent. My tent. Maybe I should say our. Aaron walked in with Lilith Garnet in his arms. She was always sleeping with me at night.
"Goodnight," Aaron smiled and kissed the top of Lilith's head. He nodded to me and began walking out.
"Wait," I called out, "do you mind having her sleep with you tonight?"
"What for?" He questioned.
I lied, of course, "I'm feeling sick and wouldn't want to pass the cold onto her,"
"Should I get Lucinda?" He said with a worried expression.
"It's fine, i dont think its that serious. For me, but if Lilith were to get it," I stopped knowing this was all I had to say.
"I get it, night," Aaron left with Lilith back in his arms.
As soon as I heard the zipper of the tent twice meaning they were inside I got out of my sleeping bag and stepped out. It was rather chilly so I went back in to grab an extra layer of clothing. When I turned back to exit I found Laurence at the door.
"Laurence," I said with a defeated smile, "what's up?"
"Where're you going?" He knew something was up.
"I think you know,"
He nodded, "I feel like you aren't going to sleep until you go so I won't stop you,"
"Thank you so much," I smiled gratefully and began to step away but he stopped me.
"That doesn't mean you're going alone," I nodded and we both walked over towards the ruins.
When we got there I saw Laurence lay down on a flat stone and look up at the open roof. The Stars were out and beautiful. I quietly lay down beside him and did the same. A gust of wind passed through making me shiver.
"Sorry Garroth," I heard him whisper as he wrapped his arms around me, "better?"
I nodded, "thank you,"
I looked up from his chest to his face. His perfectly structured face, his chocolate brown locks, his sky blue eyes. Eyes that were looking at me.
"Laurence," I breathed in slowly.
"Aph, I-" he got interrupted by a loud rumble. We both jumped up from our position and ran to the base camp. Except there was no base camp.
"What's going on?" I asked breathlessly.
"I have no clue," Laurence was clearly in a startled state.
"The ruins, I bet it had something to do with the ruins," I took off running not even waiting to see if he would follow.
I rushed into the largest intact ruins and jumped into the hole Laurence and I had accidentally made. I ran into the strange room Laurence believed to be a shrine/grave. The tapestry was glowing and the grave was open.
I looked down to find nothing inside. The inside was filled with dried up hay and sand. But nothing more. I dont know how it got open but it did.
"Aphmau?" I heard a familiar voice speak.
I turned around.
Pale skin,
Golden hair,
Ice blue eyes."Garroth,"
