When Dylan walked into the old music room the literal last thing he expected to see was a blind girl shoving a wheelchair bound boy around the room. But there they were, in all of their blind-wheelchair glory.
You see, Dylan was the new kid at this school. And after a pretty shitty first day he thought to himself 'why not go check out the music room that nobody uses anymore so you can just chill for a while. Nobody could possibly be using it.'
Dylan was very, very wrong.
"MELANIE STOP PUSHING CARTER AROUND FOR CHRIST'S SAKE YOU'RE GONNA BREAK HIS WHEELCHAIR AGAIN." A shrill shriek came from farther inside the room. "MELANIE I SWEAR TO GOD- oh hello! You must be new here! I'm Stevie! Come on in don't be shy!" The voice stopped mid-shriek to acknowledge poor, confused Dylan's presence.
Melanie stopped pushing Carter around and brought him around to where she figured the door was."To the left a little." Carter spoke up to redirect her to where Dylan was standing. Stevie had already made her way to him, as well as two other people.
"Welcome! You probably stumbled in here on accident but who cares! This is Club Soda, the school club for the quirky outcasts." Stevie giggled a little at the introduction that she had just given to Dylan. "There are five of us so far. Melanie is blind," She pointed to each of the members as she introduced them. "Carter is in the wheelchair, Mei has Tourette's Syndrome, and Flick is mute." She pointed at the boy and girl that had walked over with her.
"Oh silly me! I almost forgot myself." She giggled again. "I'm Stevie, as you already know, and I'm a recovering anorexic!" She squealed happily.
Dylan wondered how all of these people managed to be so positive when they all had something keeping them back from being "normal." They were all basically radiating happiness.
"I'm Dylan, and I'm a cancer survivor." The now less confused boy said to the group of kids that stood in front of him.
"That's great! It must be amazing to be able to say you survived something, huh?" Stevie asked with a soft smile. Dylan noticed how skinny she still was. It worried him a bit.
"So, do you wanna be the newest member of Club Soda?" Mei spoke up, the slightest bit of an accent sneaking through her voice. He couldn't tell what kind of accent, but he liked the way that her voice sounded.
Dylan had finally found a place where he could fit in. There was no way in hell that he was passing this opportunity up.
"Fuck yeah."
A/n: I honestly have no idea where the inspiration for this came from but I like it ;; fight me

General FictionClub Soda is a very stupid name for a very lovely group of people. A drabble story about a group of disabled kids that I will update randomly. Don't expect an actual storyline because that is not going to happen sorry ;;
