Everybody thinks about dying at least once in a lifetime.
Everyday we are facing death and everyday we are getting closer to our own. Everyday death is slamming holes in families and between friends, some more than others. Everybody faces death some try to run, some are scared and some are facing it with more strength than you could ever imagine.
We people are used to living in groups and because of that we see love and death standing eye to eye and very close to eachother.
Some of us believe that if you accept it, it won't hurt you, others escape from the humanity. They try built a life of their own. But they too know that one day death will crawl into their minds and will slowly lead them to there ending. Like a staircase to the ground.I'm one of those who know that their life is almost at the end eventhough I'm 17 years old.
My staircase to death started a year ago, but to understand all of this you have to know my story from the start.I was born on 31 October 1509 and right from the start I stood out from every other little babygirl.
I was born with hair, which doesn't happen very often on its own, but mine was as black as the night on which the moon has been eaten by the stars. My eyes were a blue so bright that it almost looked as if they could lighten up that same black night by themselves.
My parents called me Autumn.
My parents knew right from the start that I had magic in my bones, love in my heart and fire in my soul. But they also knew that the world we live in wouldn't be safe for me, so I grew up with the animals as my friends, the walls as my territory and the roof as the limit.
It was my home and I never knew anything else than to stay in it.
It was there that I was taught to write, count and spell. But it was also the place where they taught me how to use my magic. But the older I got the harder it became for my parents keep me hidden and on my 10th birthday they took me out of the house for the second time in my life. I was 6 years old when my Mother took me out of the house for the first time, to show me to the witches, but that was on the end of our property. This was my first time in town. Before we went, my parents ofcourse told me that i couldn't use my magic outside the house and so i didn't. They took me to the heart of the city and answered all the questions I had. They told me that I wouldn't be safe anymore if the world knew what I could do with just the palm of my hands and that I couldn't tell anyone about it.
And they were right that it wasn't safe for me anymore from the moment that the world knew what I was... a Witch
