Hades slumped back in his chair with his Italian leather shoes propped on top of the black desk. "Bring him in." His tone was dark, but really, it was to scare the shit out of the poor kid who had broken a rule.
Ares grumbled as he opened the heavy door to Hades' office. A scrawny brown haired boy shuffled his feet as he entered the grim office. "Sit, Mr. Heath." The boy did as he was told refusing to make eye contact with the god.
"You probably already know why you were summoned, I hope. But if you don't, let me sum it up for you. Defensive magic is prohibited inside school grounds. Enlighten me, why did you break my rule?"
Christly Heath fidgeted with his hands nervously, but remained silent. "Fine then, I have other ways of getting information out of students." Hades' blue eyes turned black as pitch as his hands wove through the air while mumbling unknown words in Greek.
When he stopped, a hologram of two older students laughing. "Who do we have here?" Hades mumbled. The two boys had Christly cornered in a wing in the castle saying insulting things about himself and his parents.
As the pressure mounted, Christly swung an arm discharging magic that was only to be used in combat situations. "Why didn't you say so in the first place, Mr. Heath? You must have known I'd find out one way or the other?"
Christly shook his head, "They always do that, sir. I didn't mean to cast a spell, I swear! It just...just...came out." Hades nodded, "You're may go, Mr. Heath. I don't tolerate any kind of harassment in my academy, and today is no exception. Have a good day, Mr. Heath."
The poor thirteen year old sauntered out of the office leaving Hades alone once more. His icy gaze flowed over his desk before stopping at a picture frame positioned on the far right corner.
The black frame held a little girl with grayish skin, snow white eyes, and a smile. Her black dress held grey roses on the shoulders, and matching flowers in her hair.
Hades picked up the frame and a small smile stretched on his pale lips. "My dearest Cassandra. How I've missed you so." A knock sounded at his door, and he placed his long lost daughter back onto his desk.
"Come in." Ares poked his blonde head in the door, "We have a new student."
