Me and Ian are neighbors. Both of family are close to each other, but mom doesn't approve Ian for me yet. Ian's a nice person, both of us when we are still kids promised that we will always be BEST FRIENDS who will support each other. He protects me from bad people that's why he always gets teased by our classmates.

When we were Grade Four he got tired being told that we are unseparable couple. Since we are just kids I didn't mind about it yet. Then at the FOURTH DAY of AUGUST he suddenly told everyone that he already has a girlfriend.

"I have an announcement to make!!" He shouted to the whole class.

"From now on Anise and I are going out." From his own words I felt a bit happy, sad and disappointed.

He really takes everyone seriously. He and Anise are suitable for each other. Anise is pretty and Ian is handsome that's why I accept them.

"Congrats!" I smiled at them and then suddenly I felt that a tear will fall down so I immediately turned back and excused myself to the bathroom.

Just then that I've realized my feelings for Ian and since that he treats me as

his little sister I've decided not to tell him about it and just put my feelings aside so that it won't break the friendship we have.

The next day, He and I both went to school together. A guy confronted us

and gave me flowers.

"Here this is for you." He smiled and went ahead. "What is that guy thinking?" Ian took the flower away and read the letter on it.

"Please meet me in the garden after school. I'll be waiting for you."

"What is that? So lame!" He gave it back to me. "Don't go. He is not suitable for you."

What? Why is he telling me what I should be doing? He already has a girlfriend, He is just my Childhood Bestfriend.

"W- Why do I need to follow you?! I'm not your girlfriend! We are just friends so don't ever stop me on finding a person I will like!" I shouted while my tears flowed and run away in embarrassment.

"Wait!!" He shouted but I didn't looked back.

I didn't paid any attention to him even if he tries to. Then Anise approached me at Lunch Break.

"Did you have a fight with Ian?" She asked with a sad look on her face. "No, He just ruined my day. Don't worry about it too much, you are his girlfriend you can make him forget about unhappy things." I answered laughingly.

"That's great!" She relieved and smiled. We ate together in the canteen while talking about many things.

"You know, I'll be going to US later on.." She suddenly brought a depressing conversation.

"US?" I asked. I don't know if I'm happy 'bout it or not.

"I need to have a treatment, I have leukemia. Actually I don't want to but because I now realized how much I wanted to be with Ian I decided to take treatment at overseas." She stopped and cried.

She really loves Ian. I hope that my feelings for Ian will soon fade away so that I won't hurt Anise.

After school I did go to the garden and the boy earlier is there waiting for me.

"Shane!" He smiled.

"You are Kurt, right?" I asked. "Indeed." He placed his hands on my shoulder. "..umm.. Wha - What is it that you want to tell me?" My heart beats faster than before.

I'm so nervous, He is one of the best player in tennis who is known to be the genius player.

"P- Please go out with me." He looked away abd blushed a little bit. "... I- I'm sorry!! I can't accept it! We are still kids and I al- already h- have someone I- I li- like!" I bowed my head.

"As I thought so..." He came closer and lifted my head. "Is it Ian?" He asked while staring at me.

Ian..? Is it really Ian? I'm not sure but it shouldn't be Ian. Anise truly cares and loves him.

"No, but it is someone who went overseas." I lied but there is that person who was with us.

"I see... If it's Ian I thought I can finally give up, well now that its someone who is not here I'll make you fall for me." He smirked with such a beautiful gaze in his eyes.

"That's no good, Shane will only love that person." Ian intervene.

"Eavesdropping is not too good Ian." Kurt rubbed his head and passed by Ian.

"What? Didn't I tell you not to come?!" Ian shouted. "There you go again...." I sighed. "You are my bestfriend whom I treat as my own little sister. Anyway to think that you like Jennifer is very impossible." Ian came closer.

"I'm just trying to reject him." I backed away as he came closer to me.

"Could it be that.... the one you like is... me?" Ian straightly looked into my eyes. "....Wh- What is it with you? It doesn't matter to you whom I like!" I looked away. "You...." As he lifted my chin Anise came.

"Ian!" She shouted with tears. Ian run to her with a worried look. "Don't hurt Shane." She wipes her tears. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry.... I didn't do anything at all." Ian tries to calm her down.

"I'm alright Anise. See you tomorrow." I went ahead.

After that I didn't know what happened between them because the next day they didn't talk to each other and Anise just coldly look into Ian.

Then after two months Anise went overseas. That's the time when they talked to each other again and said their farewell to each other.

I cried in the garden that I can't accept what just happened between them. Since lately I've been avoiding Ian because I know that I shouldn't get on his way. But whenever some guys approaches me he always intervene Like the always Ian.

And then when Kurt once again called me but Ian grabbed my hand.

"Don't!" Ian shouted in anger.

"Ian...?" I looked at him with a troubled face. "Kurt let her go. I already told you didn't I?" He grabbed Kurt's uniform in the collar.

"No.. no... You seem to misunderstood it. Autumn wants to recruit her in the AVALANCHE group and so she asked me to take Shane to her.." Kurt explains and Ian let go of him.

"Avalanche group....?" Ian wondered.

"Yeah, She started it just now out of boredom and decided to gather her friends who are trustworthy. Well she said I cannot join it." Kurt gave Ian a piece of paper that has the information about AVALANCHE.

"Even so, I already am with Lorraine." Kurt went off. Looks like Kurt finally gave up I hope I can be like him, a person who can move forward.

"Autumn always do what she wants"

Ian turned to me his serious face looks so sad that I want to comfort him but I can't do that.

"I'll be going then." I tried to leave him as my heart can't stop beating so fast.

"I like you!!" Ian himself shouted to me. My feet suddenly feels heavy that I can't bring myself to leave him.

"I've always liked you from the very start." He seemed to be serious just by listening to his voice I can tell it.

"I'm....... sorry, I won't betray Anise." I cried.

"Anise? Seems like you didn't know." I've heard him sigh and he came closer.

"She's my half sister, and she told me that I can use her because she had a fight with her bf and wants to make him jealous." Ian explained trying to stop his laughing.
