"Ms Dalton, Sorry for the false accusation put against you, I assure you though, we will be keeping a close eye on you," detective Marlo warned me.

I sat up, still a little chilled by the moment I just had. Chad...how? How is he in my head? I stood up and nodded at Marlo. As I went into the hall, Marshall was there leaning against the wall.

"Well Ms Dalton, I hope you learn to be more careful who you admire," then he turned and left.

What the hell? What was he talking about? Careful on who I admire... this just keeps getting more confusing.

"Oh my god Hunter!" Jen exclaimed.

"Sorry for getting you caught up in all this, honestly I didn't mean to, if I knew you would have been bright into this I would have never went to your house," I apologised to Jen.

"It's fine, seriously I'm just glad that you're not in jail right now," Jen laughed.

"Well if only everyone felt that way," I said sadly.

"What do you mean?" Jen gave me questionable look.

"My mother, Aria and Lucas looked glad as I was being taken away in the police car, knowing I would be guilty... Wait how did they know that?" I asked, knowing nobody would know the answer.

"Maybe because they did it," Jen answered.

Never mind.

"Shhh! We can't say these things. Especially not here," I looked around and signalled Jen to follow me.

We walked out, and got in Jen's BMW. I took a deep breath.

"I saw Chad," I began.

"Wait what do you mean you saw Chad? Like while you were in the room?" Jen asked alarmed.

"No I fell asleep. And I know this wasn't a dream or a memory. I don't know how to explain it because I don't know what it means," I bit my lip, looking blankly at the window.

"Well, how about we do a Seancé, and try to contact him?" Jen grinned at me.

"Oh God, no no no no no!" I shook my head.

"Too bad we're doing it," Jen started the car.

And there was no talking her out of it because once she made up her mind, you might as well be talking to a wall. We stopped by the theft store first. We got out, and I felt a chill go down my spine. I rubbed my shoulder, looking around to see if anyone was watching me. But there was no one in sight.

"Hello," an elderly lady said to us as we entered the smell of old things.

Like when you haven't found something in 10 years and it gets that old smell to it. That's exactly the smell I had to face. I looked around as Jen went to the back of the store. There were lots here. I never dared to go to a theft store, because of the reputation my family had. 'Why would the rich be with the poor?' Aria always said every time James wanted to go check out the old stores. I always thought that was rude, because in the end we all go in the same hole in the ground when we die.

"Not me," a voice whispered in my ear.

I looked back startled. But no one was there. My body was full of goose bumps, my arm hairs were standing up. Now I was officially creeped the fuck out.

"Jen?" I called out.

"I found it! And it's free!" Jen yelled from behind some clothes.

I walked to her voice and found her in a corner admiring the wooden board. She looked up and smiled.
