Chapter 2: Competition

Again im using my phone to update this. This chapter's going to be interesting.....

Patricia's POV

I woke up at 5:30am. I know its a bit early right. I got up and took a shower and put on my black jeans, black sweater, and slip on my black converse. Im a bit fond of the color black.

I got up and went downstairs, ate my breakfast which consists of Toast because im a bit lazy to prepare other food. I rushed to the living room to get my bag and packed my turn shoes and tap shoes for our practice later at P.E.

I was waiting at the bus station when i saw someone walk towards me and that someone is Danny.

Daniel's POV (i know shocking 😶😛)

I was walking towards the bus station because i broke my board yesterday when i was going home.

This was a good choice too because when i got to the station i saw Pat. As i saw her a grin went up on my face. "Hey Danny" she has a cute soft voice and i was beginning to like her a bit. "Hey Pat, morning". "Morning to you too sleepy head" she said with a smirk on her face. I was still half asleep but I ended up staying awake when the bus came.

When we walked inside there were only two vacant seats left. I let her go first so she could have the window seat. She instantly grabbed her headphones and just stared outside. She had chocolate brown eyes with a matching milky brown hair. I didn't realize that I was staring at her for a while until she let out a slight laugh.
I looked away as fast as I could and fiddled with my fingers. Well that's a classic way to show that you're not staring Danny great job. I said to myself as i stared at the floor. Could i be falling for her?

Patricia's POV

I noticed Danny staring at me when i looked out of the window. A grin feel on my face as I was thinking about it.
He quickly looked away and fiddled with his fingers and looked down at the floor. Wait...does he like me? I never imagined someone liking me because Im half geek half smart and half loner. And we just met yesterday.

The bus went to a full stop as I rushed up to the campus. My first class was Math. Iam a bit enthusiastic when it comes to Math not to brag or anything its just a comfortable class to be with, its like solving a puzzle. The lesson was a bit boring for the other students. Iam with Jasper so its not going to be typically boring. Hailey and Cole have their History class so not much to talk about.

The bell rang and i paced down the hallway to my locker when I came across Danny. "Hey Pat let me help you with that". He said with a bit of nervousness in his tone.  Why is he a bit nervous? "Sure" we walked down the hall till we reach my locker. I grabbed the books from my bag and organized them to my locker. "Thanks again Danny". I said a bit quiet. "Anytime Pat".

My next class was P.E so that means Contemporary rehearsals. I grabbed my turn shoes and rushed towards the gym. I changed to my yoga pants and plain black turtle neck shirt with  medium sleeves. Jeanna, our captain for the dance recitals made us warm up a bit to increase my flexibility.

As i was charged up and ready to go I noticed Danny and the other boys getting ready for Basketball. They also started to warm up, as me and Danny did eye contact he gave me a smile and I gave him a smirk which gave me a glare from Danny.

I was with my rival at dance her name is Martha and she was almist the teachers pet or more of captains pet or choreographers pet. I rolled my eyes mentally when I thought about that. She did perfect turns and tricks because of the extra time that she had or more of skipping classes. I saw Danny staring at her which made me feel uncomfortable and made my confidence drop i hate it when that happens.

Jeanna called cause it was my turn to practice my turns. When i had a second to stop turning i can still see Danny staring at Martha and now Martha was staring back at him, they were both smiling and laughing. Wait.....am I jealous? No, never have I been jealous of someone especially for Danny because he's only my friend. Even though if I have feelings for him I would never show it because i was scared that we are going to lose our friendship. When i thought of that i slipped and fell out of my turns and landed on the left side of my body. I accidentally hurt my left shoulder because of the impact and the muscles were a bit twisting and that's what caused me to screech in pain. The coah helped me out of the ckass and to the nurse's office. The nurse wrapped my arm and said that i can't stress my body in 3 days and the competition was only 3 days away. I heard my heatt break when i heard the news that i wasn't gonna participate in the competition this week. I was in the office for about 2 hours but they let me go. I wasn't in an arm sling only in a bandage when we have like cramps in our legs. I can move my shoulder a bit but the hurting is still there but only a little. As i walked out of the office i noticed Danny comforting Martha because sometimes she says to our classmates that we are friends but deep inside we were rivals.

As i noticed Martha lying to Danny i was heated up by anger and i also noticed that Danny was working hard to keep the 'sadness and pain' inside Martha. I could feel a sting in my chest and i was almost tearing up but i quickly rushed to the nearest restroom and splashed my face with cold water. The cold water kept my eyes from tearing up a bit. I continued walking and i notied that they are still there.

I swear that Danny likes her more than me. I gritted my teeth slightly because if the anger and i went home unnoticed. I had an excuse letter to take me home that was written by the nurse.

I got sent back home by car. Good thing my mom had enough time to drive me home. Having those thoughts circling around my mind made me feel like i'm going to explode. Danny and Martha this has got to be a dream. I looked a hit annoyed as I faced down the window.

Once I got back home I practiced for my singing competition tomorrow. I set up the mic and put the track on. I listened to the song one more time before I tried my own version. I was a bit tired from what I was feeling from Martha, she's just a reckless person who just wants everything for herself.
Once I finished for practice today I drifted to a deep sleep thinking about what might happen tomorrow.

Sorry for the wait I had so many things to do here at school. Im still working on chapter 3 also. Wish me luck in making this story a success.
