Chapter 35 - Race Against Time

SKYLAR'S P.O.V.

Joey and I were running through the forests in order to make our escape. I was trying to keep up next to Joey, but my ankle was holding me back.

"Come on Skylar! We've got to get to the school!" He encouraged me.

"I'm trying! It's my ankle though!" I spat back at him a little more unfriendly than I meant to be. Just then Joey stopped and looked at me before crouching down.

"Get on my back. Hurry!" He told me as I quickly climbed onto his back as he continued running.

"There's the school!" Joey whispered as he tried to regain his breath.

"And there's Sam's van," he also pointed out before I got off his back and started running again towards the school. I nodded at Joey as we ran over towards the doors and I opened them slowly in order to see everyone working their normal jobs. I ran into the school and into the office where the secretaries were working normally.

"This school needs to go under lock down! There are kids carrying bombs around this school and are planning to use them!" I started telling the secretaries who were skeptical at first, but then realized they didn't want to find out. One of the secretaries was about to make an announcement over the speakers until she was interrupted.

"We can't be bringing this news to everyone! Can't you guys just personally notify the teachers and have them direct the kids out of the building?" Joey asked.

"It's a good plan," I insisted. The staff nodded as they told us to take on the duties of telling the teachers while they called 9-1-1. Joey and I both left the office and started quietly walking the halls.

"We have to be quiet, if Louis or Sam sees us, they can blow up the school then and there," I whispered to Joey, who nodded. We started spreading the words to the teachers as they would give us petrified looks, but knew it was their duty to keep the kids safe and went along with the plan. Finally we were stopped by Maths, the room Nathan is in right now. I quietly knocked on the door and opened it to see Nathan looking at me confused, along with the teacher.

"Ms. Blessings? You're late!" She was about to rant.

"About that, can I talk to you and Nathan Sykes out here for a moment?" I asked. She looked at Nathan and I skeptically before obliging and the both of the, walked out of class.

"I'm listening," she spoke impatiently.

"Try to to freak out, but there's students of our own carrying around bombs and planning to use them, but we need to get everyone out of the building in order to keep people safe, so just take your class outside or something then?" I whispered to her.

"I'll see what I can do then, but why is it necessary to get Mr. Sykes involved?" She questioned. I looked over into Nathan's eyes before letting out a deep breath.

"I need his help," I replied, in which a smirk grew on his face.

This is getting dramatic. :P

I've officially made it that this story has two more chapters, and then it's officially done. :( I will then be concentrating on CDIL which is another Nathan Sykes fanfic if anyone didnt know, and then maybe revealing a new story here in a few months when my schedule isn't hectic. :P

Also a song that I have been addicted to lately is HeartBreak Girl by 5 Sec. Of Summer, which opened for One Direction in the USA. Video to the side!
