Shadows POV
I was taking a rest inside my peaceful home until a familiar face disturbed me from my slumber."Hey shady! Wake up! I've got a surprise for you!"
Uhhhhh.... It was Rouge. That annoying bat always disturbs my sleep. Even when Im working she disturbs me.
"What is it now!" I said with an annoyed tone. "Well since your birthday is coming up in 3 months, and I wouldn't be able to come, I decided to greet you an advanced b - day and got you the gift in advanced as well."
"I'm too old for birthdays." I replied with a glare telling her to shut up.
"Just come with me. Y'know, take a shower do your stuff and I'll wait outside hun."
Uhhhhh..... I knew she had something planned. I wanted to spend my birthday IN PEACE. I don't want her ruining everything even if she does.

After half an hour of getting ready, I got in Rouge's cherry red Ferrari and sat in the front.
"Where are we going." I asked with a hint of curiosity but was all in all a blunt question.
"You'll see~" she said smirking at me. I know I've seen that smirk. And that smirk isn't a good one.
After crossing through town and making a few turns, we made it to a dark alley that smelled like SHITTY garbage.
"We're here!" Rouge said presenting the alley with the jazz hands.
"You're gift to me is a dump site because you think I'm just garbage in our missions. And that I smell even more than this dump correct?" I said, trying to act happy with my gift.
"Nope, this is your gift." She flipped a worn out light switch twice, made 5 knocks, and said OWCA. After a few seconds of waiting, A huge base Rose out of the ground. Figures, it was a strip club.
"Why in hell did you bring me here!?" "Because it's the perfect place for you to make friends." She said,shrugging.
As I went inside the base, there were lots of people, but there were no strippers. There were 2 seats at the very front that says
V.I.P
"That's your seat. Someone took the other VIP seat. I'll just go and drink at that bar call if you need me." She said as she disappeared in a crowd of people.
After Rouge left, a blue hedgehog was being dragged by another hedgehog to the VIP seats.
"Seriously blue, you should come to these places since it's awesome. I even reserved a VIP seat for you see? Even if its your first time, I got you a special seat. Learn to enjoy your blessings."
Well this is definitely hell. I'm stuck in a place I don't know where and I'm stuck with a blue hedgehog.
As the strippers started dancing on the stage, I just sat there, trying to process what's happening in front. While doing that, I heard someone sobbing, quietly. It was the hedgehog beside me.
"Hey what's wrong" the hedgehog looked up at me and started to blush, wiping away the tears that fell from his emerald eyes.
"N - n - nothing. I just didn't want to come here." "Then why did you come here in the first place?"
I said raising my voice a little.
"Well m - my brother Scourge dragged me here so I could experience adult - hood since I stay indoors all the time."
"Hey, wanna ditch this place and go on our way?" I asked looking at him.
"Oui" he said looking a bit happier. I had a small blush on my face when I took his hand and left the strip club.
"So, aboot (that's how they pronounce about in Canada.) that, do you have a place to stay?" He asked a little bit concerned.
"Well... No. No I don't. I do have a home but my friend took the keys so I can't open the door. I could stay at your place if it's fine with you." I said looking at the white pigeon that had a broken leg which was limping on the sidewalk.
"Holy maple! Are you alright!" The hedgehog said as he ran to aid the birds leg. Of course, I used chaos energy to understand what the little bird was saying.
"I got hit by a stone figure." The little bird said as it flapped its wings a bit.
I was about to translate what it was saying but he replied immediately."would it be alright if I aid you back at home?" He said, receiving a happy chirp from the little bird.
"So you can understand what its saying?" I asked, with a bit of shock in my tone."oui, oui I can." The hedgehog said as he carried the bird and continued walking.
Once we got to his home, it was HUGE. I mean, it was a mansion far more better than mine.
"Well, were here" he said taking out the keys and entering side by side with me.
"Hey I never got to ask for your name." I said looking at a CD rack filled with different kinds of anime like AOT, Hetalia, kurokos Basketball, death note, death the kid and loads more.
"Well my name is Sonic the hedgehog, but my real name is Matthew. Matthew Williams(ehhh.. Hetalia fandom!)
"hmm, nice name." I said looking at him while he was tending to the injured bird.
"This may be a too personal question but what's your nationality? What do you like watching? Do you speak any other languages?" I asked since I was interested.
"M - my nationality? And interests? Well , my nationality is Canadian. I like the colors red and white, and I like watching anime. I speak English, filipino, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, German, Japanese, Chinese and Korean." He said, slightly embarrassed.
"How aboot you what's your name?" He asked clearly getting into the topic.
"Me? My name is Shadow the hedgehog. I work at G.U.N and I like the colors black and red. I speak English and Italian and my friends name is Rouge."
"Well it's getting late. Maybe I should show you to your room?"
He asked me with his adorable voice.
"Sure, why not. I am getting a bit tired."
"Oh, alright then, I'll show you the guest room."
We went through a lot of stair cases until we reached my room, well, permanent room.
"If you need anything, my room is right beside yours." He said going out and slowly closing the door.
The room was awfully big to be a guests room, it wasn't too plain. It had a bit of furniture on the cabinets and 2 lampshades on each side of the king sized bed. It also had a study desk with suitable lighting and an oak cabinet with very exquisite designs on it. It also had an AC
After gazing around I decided to say goodnight to Sonic. I came out the door and and opened his door, forgetting to knock before I entered.
"Ah!" Sonic exclaimed. "I'm sorry!" I said apologizing. "I - it's fine, I just didn't want to let you see I still sleep with stuffed animals." He said as he buried his face on a bear plusie, which was almost as big as him.
His room was colored white. It had a king sized bed filled with big fluffy white pillows and a lot of stuffed animals. He also had a few anime posters on the wall and his clothes were maple themed. It also had good air conditioning.
"Sorry. I forgot to knock. I was just going to say goodnight. "
"Oh okay. Goodnight then." He said closing the door.
As I went in my room, I flopped on the bed and turned the lights from the light shade off. Turning the room into a dark abyss.
I spun around the bed because I couldn't sleep. Not because I wasn't used to sleeping in another person's house. It was because I had something in my head that kept disturbing me. and that something was a someone. And that someone was Sonic.
The last thing I said before falling into a deep slumber was:
"My God I think I may be developing a crush on him."
