wings in the moonlight

"HAILEY,hello, you in there. i need help right now. Hailey don't make me come in there" i stood in front of my mirror calling to my bestfreind

"yeah yeah yeah, i'm here where else can i go, but jeez havn't you heard of down time" my Bestfreind appeared in the mirror, removing my reflection. "so what do you need help with" she stood crossing her arms over her chest

"can you see my wings?" i asked turning around so she could see my back.

"no you can't see them, can i go back to bed now its too early to be up considering i don't have school" she pleaded

"yes okay"

"thank you, now have a boring day at school and don't forget your still grieving" she said before disappearing again, i laughed at her before putting my shoes on. if your confused don't worry, i'll give you a catch up my names Brooke, i'm a Fairy, but of course i only found this out just under a year ago on my 15th birthday when i sprouted wings, and double confusion for me being adopted so you could imagine the freak-out i had. but anyway Hailey was/is my bestfreind, she died three months ago in a car accident, and i put a spell on her, so she now lives in my mirror, but if she comes out she dies, that is until i figure out a spell to bring her back. so yeah that's basically it.

once my shoes were on and tied i grabbed my school bag and ran downstairs, into the kitchen, where my mum was "hey mum" i said grabbing an apple and sitting on the kitchen island

"morning Brooke" she said, briefly looking up from her newspaper "your father and i are going on a business trip tonight we'll be back at the weekend so you have until then on your own, is that OK?" she asked, mum and dad always went on business trips, it was okay for me, i got the house to myself, but the fact i only had a few Friends meant i didn't have party's.

"yeah its fine, well better run or i'll miss the bus, love ya" i said finishing my apple and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and walking out the front door towards my bus stop, when i got there i was greeted with a scream. i quickly looked up to see Jess my other bestfreind running towards me, when she got to me she enveloped me with a hug

"Brooke, your back! i missed you, you crazy-chick" she exclaimed, to me still hugging me. i'd been on holiday for 2 weeks in Dubai.

"yeah got back last night, missed you like hell!" i laughed at her nickname for me while responding to her. just then the bus stopped right in-front of us so we quickly got on and sat in our usual seats towards the back. "OK so whats been happening, have i missed much?" i asked

"uhmm well, theres this new guy in our homeroom and i'm not kidding when i say he's hot, because oh my god he is just, i can't even explain it" i laughed at her lack of things to say about this newbie as we pulled into school.

when we got off the bus, we went our separate ways agreeing to meet at homeroom in 10minutes. so i quickly went to my locker, i opened it getting out the books i needed for the day and putting them in my bag, I was engulfed with a smell that ugh it stunk, it kinda reminded me of death, i quickly shut my locker and turned around, which resulted me coming face to face with the hottest person i have ever seen. my eyes widened at seeing him and how close he was, they quickly returned to there normal size, and he moved closer to me, leaning a hand on the lockers. i scanned over his face, his hair was almost black and his eyes a deep shade of red, that would appear black to most. being a fairy gave me the advantage of better sight and smell. i looked down at his outfit and as i guessed it was all black. i burst out laughing as i realised how cliche he was,

"whats so funny, brooke?" he asked, i instantly froze and my laughter stopped, how did he know my name

"how'd you know my name?" i ask, looking him in the eye. he chuckled at my question
