You

The boy carried me back in his arms.
When we got to the church, I had fallen asleep, and my unconscious body was carried inside. I awoke to see a pair of large blue eyes staring back at me. I moved back instinctively, for I'd never been around anyone but my mother before.

"You've got pretty eyes." He looked at me curiously, noticing the colours of my eyes. "Yeah, they're different it looks really cool." I blinked and looked at him blankly, then smiled.
"Thank you." I spoke quietly, my voice barely more than a whisper.
"I'm Rin by the way, what's your name?" He asked.
"Yuna Shujinko, I'm sorry." I began to cry and Rin looked at me in shock.
"W-why are you crying?!" He looked at me, his eyes wide.

I wiped away my tears as Father Fujimoto walked in. He passed the rows of pews until he reached us.
"Rin, go and wait outside." Rin folded his arms, and, pouting, he walked away. Father Fujimoto smiled.
"Aw come on kid, cheer up!" He laughed uneasily, trying his best to cheer me up. But it didn't work. I wiped away my tears and sat up straight.

A boy in glasses entered the room, carrying Father Fujimoto's bag.
"I've got your bag here." He put the bag down beside him, and looked at me.
"Ah, thank you, Yukio." Father Fujimoto opened the bag and took out a small glass bottle with a cork in the top, it was filled with a pretty purple liquid. Yukio was still stood behind him, and he noticed me looking at the bottle.
"This is just a little medicine, don't worry, it tastes like strawberries." He took out a spoon and poured some of the liquid onto it, and then handed it to me. It did taste like strawberries. But I didn't like Strawberries and scrunched up my nose at the taste.

I felt a wave of coolness pass over me, and I shuddered slightly. Father Fujimoto was called by someone in the next room and left, leaving me alone with the bespectacled boy.
"Hello." He spoke finally, looking at the floor.
"Hello," I replied quietly, "I'm Yuna."
"Y-Yukio. I'm Yukio. Rin is my twin brother." He didn't meet my gaze as he spoke. He seemed to suddenly remember something and rushed out of the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

A day passed and I had been given a small room at the back of the church. It had a large window, through which I could see a bustling city, alive with thousands of people. I felt a twinge of sadness, watching them go about their daily business in such a hurry. I knew I might never be able to do the same, because of my condition. I was still bed-ridden, unable to move from the linen sheets to which I was confined.

The walls were clean, the white wallpaper was smooth and cool to the touch, and the wooden floor was, thankfully, free of splinters. Not that it would matter as I hadn't left the bed since Father Fujimoto tucked me into it almost four hours ago. I sat alone reading a large, leather-bound book. It told tales of adventure in a fantastical world, of the sky and the grass, of mountains and valleys. The story made me nostalgic for something I'd never experienced.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and, without waiting for my answer, someone comes in.
"Sorry if I'm disturbing you," He apologises and sits on the end of the bed. "I brought you some more books, they're some of my favourites." He adjusts his glasses and puts the stack of books on the bedside table.
"Thank you, Yukio." I thank him with a small smile, closing my book gently and laying it on my lap.
"A-are you feeling better?" Yukio asks. "Rin keeps asking about you."
"Yes, but the medicine tastes bad." At my reply, he laughs softly.
"You don't like strawberries?" I shake my head and tell him that they're too sickly for my taste. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask for it, okay?" I nod and he leaves the room, leaving me alone again.

To my surprise, the next day was incredibly hot. Sweltering heat enveloped my room and I had asked Fujimoto to open the window for me, but it didn't help much. Mid-morning came and someone entered my room with a big smile.
"Nice day today, huh?" He grinned at me.
"Yes, but it's too hot in here." I reply flatly, looking out the window. Rin pauses for a moment and leaves the room, returning moments later with a pair of shoes.
