Chapter 14: She Ain't Got Nothing On Me

-Chloe POV-

Second period and I have Mrs.Ortisei Spanish class. I sit in the front of the class even though I speak Spanish good enough. I'm not really paying attention because my headache is ridiculous. I'm really tired too because I barely got any sleep.

"Ms.Jamison" Mrs.Ortisei said banging her ruler on my desk.

"In Jesus name I pray, Amen" I said slowly raising my head the class started laughing.

"Do you think this class is a joke" she said in her thick accent.

"No ma'am, I don't" I said leaning my head on my hand.

"So what does that say on the board" she said pointing the ruler towards the board.

I read the Spanish words and then said them out loud. "'Del dicho al hecho hay gran trecho'" I said and shrugged.

"Do you know what that means" Mrs.Ortisei asked looking at me.

"No, but I bet your gonna tell me" I said now sitting back in my seat and I placed my hands on the desk.

"Okay class we have a smart ass today" she said now sitting on the front of her desk.

Some of the people in the class started snickering and I rolled my eyes.

"Why you sweatin' me though" I said getting annoyed.

"I'm not sweating you Ms.Jamison" she said standing up again.

"Whatever" I said packing my stuff up shoving it into my bag.

"If you leave you won't pass" she said putting the ruler down and picking up the marker to write something else.

The door open and in comes Dalvin. Mrs.Ortisei turned around and pushed her glasses up on her face.

"Excuse me sir who are you" she asked him.

"Dalvin DeGrate and I'm in this class now" he said closing the door.

By now I sat back down and taken my stuff back out my bag.

"Can I see your schedule please" she said walking over to him and he handed it to her.

She looked over it and then handed it back to him. "Please take a seat next to Chloe" she said walking back towards the board.

He walked over to the desk next to me and sat down. "What's up" he said smiling at me.

"Nothing much tryna do my work" I replied writing down the work on the board.

"Cool" he said getting something out of his bag.

"Hey Dalvin" Madison said seductively to him and running her finger tips against his back.

"Hey Madison" he replied smiling at her.

She sits right behind him now and for some reason I felt jealous.

Madison was a very attractive brown skin girl. Her black box braids flowed down to her round butt. She stood at 5 foot 7 and was very fit since she was on the track team. Boys were always drooling over her hazel eyes and round butt.

"He's not even your boyfriend so why you trippin?" I asked myself in my head.

I shrugged and started writing again trying to ignore the feeling. I looked around the classroom and some of the girls were fixing their clothes, others were trying to talk to Dalvin, some actually doing their work.

"We still on for today" Dalvin whispered to me. I turned my head to him and then looked at Madison who was all in the conversation.

"Yup" I said popping the 'P' and smiling before I looked back at him. I saw from the corner of my eyes that Madison rolled her eyes.

"Aight meet me at my locker at the end of the day" he whispered.

"Bet" I whispered back before Mrs.Ortisei turned around to start talking again.

"Good one Chloe" I thought in my head smirking and then writing again.

"Dalvin would you like to chill tomorrow" Madison asked him in his right ear leaning over her desk. "Um sure" he said looking back at her.

"Can't we have music rehearsal tomorrow" I replied loud enough for them to hear me but not looking at them.

"Oh right maybe another time though" Dalvin said looking disappointed.

By "Chill" I knew what the hoe meant.

"That's too bad" she said running her fingers up and down his arm while smiling.

She then sat back and Dalvin turned around in his seat. I could feel him watching me before he started writing.

"Two for me and none for you bitch" I thought and laughed a little.
