My sister pushed me out the door and into the freezing snow. We jumped on the bus waiting for us and sat in the back. I stared out the window and watched the snow violently rushing to the ground in a flurry of white.
"Why are we going today it's terrible outside" my sister spoke to the boy next to her. Why is she coming with me? She's in college now she shouldn't be going to middle school.
I pushed that thought aside, ignoring their conversation, and stared at the road in front of us. The path lead us through the woods. That's not normal, we live on a highway. The road soon ended and the bus drove onto a wooden bridge.
I glanced at my sister, not wanting to look off the unsecured bridge as it got thinner. She gave me a look of worry as the bus went quiet, although there was no one else on the bus except for us three. Not even a bus driver sat in the seat.
Panic overwhelmed me as I realized the bridge was nothing but a wooded strip now. A brick road at the end of the bridge was our only hope of surviving.
The creaking of the bus was the only noise the filled the silence. The front wheels of the vehicle hit the bricks.
A sigh of relief from all of us until... CRACK. The back of the bus, where we were, tipped back. I stood quickly and rushed to the front of the bus. My hand grabbed the steering wheel and I watched as we all fell back. My body was thrown back my sisters screams filled the silence as everything turned black.
