Chase and I jump out of the jacuzzi shocked. Instantly goose bumps arise on my skin because of the cold air. The screams are fading but there's still loud thumping noises.

Chase tosses me another intex. "Stay behind me, okay?" He starts to walk down to the door he came in from in a defensive position. A lot of people do that when they know they can encounter a battle.

Ugh, why did this have to ruin this moment? I think to myself. Was this a date? No! It can't be a date if we aren't even dating. Oh my gosh, Bree! Snap out of it! I get a little sick tracked in my thoughts I barely notice that someone is in front of us now.

It's a male wearing black and silver. Close to Broken colors but not exactly, Broken colors are black and red. The male has two black lines running across his cheek. I'm guessing it's a symbol for their battle techniques.

"Shit," Chase mumbles under his breathe. "You're a Hunter, aren't you?" He speaks bravely toward the man with colorful eyes in front of us.

He smirks and pulls out a arrow. The Hunter is too slow for Chase. Chase dashes toward the Hunter and pins him to the wall. In one swift motion he steals a seraph blade from him and slices his neck. I shudder at the sight. The Hunters blood spills all over the floor and he collapses.

Chase steals another seraph blade from the Hunter and walks toward me. "Need one?"

I shake my head. "I'm not good with weapons," and it's true. I'm not a very good fighters. "And I don't kill, I'm Pure Blooded, remember?"

He nods. "Right," he stuffs the extra seraph blade in the waists band of his jeans. We hear another scream, this one sounding like Lacey, and we pick the pace.

Chase is fast. He moves perfectly and quiet making him hard to detect in a battle. Unlike me, I move rushed and a bit loud. I gasp and hold my breathe when we get out into the main lobby. Larkin and Josie are lying on the ground in a pool of their own blood.

"Oh my God," I run over to both their sides. They're lying very close together. "How? How could this have happened?" I look up at Chase with tears starting to form in my eyes.

I've always been on the sensitive side. Even though I didn't get a chance to know either of them, they were kind and caring people. They took us in when we were in a time of need.

I'm about to say something else but someone jumps down from the roof and pins me to the ground. This time it's a girl in the same uniform as the other Hunter. Her eyes are plain and her hair is very messy. "You're the Ritcher girl," she says.

My eyes widen. How did she know that? I tilt my head and eyes back to see Chase. He's surrounded my a bunch of trolls. Why would there be trolls? "Are Hunters working with trolls now?" I try and squirm out of her grip but she's too strong.

"Obviously," she stands up but quickly grabs me by both arms and pins them behind my shoulder blades. "I have some questions to ask you," she starts pushing me toward the opposite door from Chase.

I jump up and kick back. I flip over on her getting out of her grip but it was painful. It doesn't hurt her at all. That move was to get out of someone's grip, not to hurt them. "Then why can't you ask them here?"

She kicks my feet out from under me and I go flying back down. Before I can even get up she has her foot above my stomach. "Because, I have a better place," she kicks me up and chains my wrist behind my back in one quick move. She pulls me by my hair to follow her.

I don't see Chase or the trolls anymore. Where is he? Is he okay? "Where are you taking me?"

"Calm down princess, just up stairs," she pulls my hair harder as she picks up the pace. "That old man has some pretty kick ass equipment up there."

I struggle to keep up causing my hair to be tugged even more. "What's your name?"

"Amberlia Mockcuss, main leader of the Hunters," we don't talk anymore.

Amberlia leads me up the flight of stairs I just walked on earlier. I hear noises behind and it's a troll. The movement of my head causes my hair to yank even more. Two trolls come up from behind us and they smell, extremely bad!

They have red eyes and wear mask over their mouths. I don't know how their full face actually looks like because I've never seen a troll or a troll without a mask. Colina never had a troll attack because they live too far from it. They're bodies are huge and kind of fat.

I try and stop but I eventually I just trip over the stairs. Amberlia just ignores it and keeps dragging me to out destination. When we arrive it's in another plain room with just one window. There's a chair with a head thing in the middle. Amberlia drags me to the chair and cuffs me in. My hair feels like it has just been vacuumed. One troll stands by the door and the other stands by the window.

Amberlia drags the metal head thing down and puts it on my head. It's heavy and it's a bit tight. "This might hurt," she grabs two metal screw things and stabs them at the sides of my neck. Blood starts to spill down.

"Ow!" I try and lift my hands then remember that their cuffed down. Tears start to well up in my eyes again, this time from the pain.

She smirks and attaches a wire to both the bolts up onto the metal head thing on my head. "There," she stands back and admires what she did. She shouldn't be so proud because even I could have done that.

"What are you planning to do?" I'd move my head but the screws will hurt and the metal on my head doesn't allow it. The pain continues to grow and blood continues to spill.

"Examine you. Test you," she sharpens a needle with a blade. I hate needles. "I want to have your power of healing, and have you convince everyone in Colina to donate some of their power to us Hunters."

I won't ever do that. The Hunters are cruel and evil people. "How do you know my last name? That I'm a Ritcher?"

She laughs evilly. "I saw what you did in the forest with that Claire girl. You healed her. After you passed out, the Hunters and Trolls attacked. But your friends were powerful. They defeated our first fleet then must of escaped here."

I clench my fish together. I need my powers right now. I'm alone and I don't know what to do or how I can defeat them without hurting them. I'm not sure why, but I want to stay Pure Blooded. "Where is everyone else? Where is Chase?" It sounds selfish, but I'm more concerned about Chase.

"My trolls took care of them all," she pauses. "Who's Chase? Is he the hot one? The one who was with you?"

I feel a bit of jealously and I don't even know why. "He was the one with me."

She shrugs. "I don't know, probably with the others."

A spark of hope arrives within me. "So they're alive?"

She comes toward me with the newly sharpened needle. "We don't kill others. Got that?" Amberlia bends down so she's at my height. "Now this will hurt a lot," a begins to put the needle up my nostril.

I yank my head back causing more pain in my neck and more blood to spill. "What the hell?"

She smirks. "Most people are afraid of this part. This is only going to spark your brain a bit," she continues to try and put the needle up my nose.

I keep yanking back even though it hurts. "HELP ME!" Some one help!" I scream at the top of my lungs startling the trolls and Amberlia.

There's a moment of silence before the door breaks down. Like a hero, Chase comes in the door. The troll is immediately on him and so is the second one.

Amberlia smirks and whispers to me "he's guarantied a dead man."
