Alex's POV

It had been two days too long since I last seen Yn and I couldn't wait to see her. The problem was was that I was in New York for training camp and would miss when she got home. We usually practice in Jersey but this year they were alternating our practice locations.

Coach: "That's the way Yung! Do everybody see this?! He's not afraid to get dirty!"

We were running drills and I don't take them lightly. For 9am, I expected the rest of the team to be the same. We've been out here since 6am and they were acting as if they just rolled out of bed.

Alex: "If we can't get it together before the season starts, how do you expect to win anything?! Get your heads in there and focus!" I was trying to prepare the team for an undefeated season, yet they weren't too focus. "Water and then y'all better kick it into gear or we'll be seeing the sun set tonight!"

As they ran over to get water, coach approached me.

Coach: "Way to go Alex! As a leader I expect you to help this team rise." He patted me on the back.

Alex: "No problem Coach."

Coach: "Looks like dating Blake's daughter is a plus," he said looking over to the sidelines. I followed his gaze. Joshua Blake was standing with his bodyguards on the sidelines. He had this intimidating look going on that I knew all too well. I hustled over to him.

Alex: "Good morning Mr. Blake." I shook his hand.

Mr. Blake: "Hello Alex. Just came down here to see what all the fuss was about and I must say, you look pretty good out there."

Alex: "Thank you sir."

Mr. Blake: "I also came to invite you to lunch tomorrow. I feel like you've been around but I don't really know you."

Alex: "I understand. Lunch sounds great."

Mr. Blake: "1pm sharp. I don't do late so you better not make me wait. See you tomorrow son."

Alex: "Tomorrow. Good seeing you again." We shook hands once again before he turned and walked away.

Man, I knew I couldn't mess this up. For a guy in his position and the fact that I'm dating his daughter, I had to play my cards right. After practice I hit the showers. As I was getting dressed, Jake and David started conversation about Mr. Blake showing up at practice.

Jake: "So I see you got the big man down here to sit in on practice."

Alex: "It's all about me dating his daughter. He could care less about how we doing."

Jake: "I don't know. He seemed interested."

Alex: "Interested in seeing if I'm a bitch on the field," we laughed. "He is a Jets fan bro."

David: "Really?! How do you know?"

Alex: "I mean it isn't like I'm dating his daughter or anything."

David: "True. Well why was he really here?"

Alex: "He wants to do lunch tomorrow."
