The Dream

"Stop it Dan" A low sounding voice giggled through a faded vision of a small room with a blue and green patched comforter on a twin-sized bed.  A tall boy with straight long black hair stared at me with a blinding smile.

     "Never" I replied snickering.

Suddenly the world around me changed and the bright sun from my window blinded me. I squinted as I pulled off my dark grey sheets. I looked around to see the same small boring room I've woken up to every day of my life for as long as I can remember. Something inside me felt different. I was smiling. It's been weeks since I've smiled, I couldn't quite figure out why I was suddenly so happy, but I was. I sleepily stumbled out of bed and walked over to my dresser. I opened up the black drawer and pulled out a dark My Chemical Romance T-shirt and black, ripped skinny jeans.

I quickly changed and then walked down the stairs to see my mother humming along to a song in our small black and white tiled kitchen.

"Anything for breakfast?" I mumbled

"There's some Shreddies in the cabinet if you would like." My mother replied

"Wow, someone's happy today" She chirped

"Yep" I responded blandly

I walked over to the cabinet and pulled out a box of Chocolate Shreddies.  I wasn't in the mood for talking so I carried my bowl of cereal to my bedroom. I scrolled through Youtube on my outdated macbook while shoving chocolate cereal into my mouth. On my notifications, my favorite Youtube channel, Smosh had posted a new video so I excitedly clicked it. I noticed that on my recommended list after the video was over, there was a video named "Cat Face". The boy on the front of the video looked like he was drawing with a sharpie on his face. It didn't look like something I would usually watch, though it felt as if a force was pulling me towards it.
