It has been about a week since I have seen Sydney. I've just been travleing so much unexpectedly and I really just want to go back home to see my girl. But right now I am in Florida visiting my mom. She lives here in Tampa, so it's really nice to be with her for a few weeks scattered throughout the off season.
My brothers even told her about Sydney before I did. Somehow, for some reason, they thought it would have been nice to call our mom right after she left my house last week to tell her about how nice and sweet she is. Of course my mom was mad at me for not telling her that I finally asked her out, but she definetly undestood. I told her that I was going to tell her, but I didn't want to tell her over the phone. So now, she's just mad that I didn't bring her with me considering everyone else met Syd except for her.
It's really hard to get Sydney to get to know my family. She even told me that she didn't want them knowing anything about her being a Kraft and how she worked as an unofficial assistant coach this past season. She doesn't want them judging her too quick, and I don't want ANYONE thinking that I'm only with her so that I could get a raise. Especially since I really did get a raise, an extra $4 Million in base pay up until 2019, it would be a bad time to announce our relationship to the public.
"Do you think Glenn is going to get drafted by the Patriots?" My mom asked.
"I'm not sure, I haven't heard anything about it since after the combine."
"If he does, would you let him stay with you?"
"God no. He can live with Bill or something." I teased.
"It's an option." She smiled back.
My mom patted my shoulder as I dropped her off at her house before catching my flight back to New England. It's Wednesday and tonight is Chandlers last day as a Patriot. He is being traded to go to the Arizona Cardinals, so I made sure that I left earlier than I expected to get to his house to party since he's leaving tomorrow.
When I finally got home from my flight, it was around 4pm. Sydney is going to the going away party as well, so I told her that it would be a lot easier if I just picked her up on the way to Chandlers.
I then took a shower and tried not to wash this stupid makeup off of my neck. Yeah, I have a hickey on my neck from when I was gone and I don't want Sydney to see it, and I don't know how to put makeup on. The girl who gave it to me put it on, and she's not here, so I'm trying my best to avoid it. Luckily, it's on the left side, so Sydney won't see it when she gets in the car.
It was now 6 and I just picked Sydney up. She was wearing a nice romper thing or whatever she calls it. She died her hair some shade of blonde a few days ago, so it looks really cool with her semi-tan skin. (Photo of Sydney's hair above).
"What?" She asked.
"I'm really digging the blonde." I laughed.
"It's alright."
"I think it's hot."
She smiled at me as I backed out of her drive way. Not going to lie, I was freaking out on the side. I've never seen Sydney get mad before, and I don't want to find out tonight.
When we finally got to Chandler's house, it was lit. There were so many people from the team here and bascially anyone you could posibly think of. I don't know how his wife let him have a party like this while she was on a bussiness trip. And yes, his wife knows he is having a party, crazy huh? It was actually really cool becuse most of the things inside of the house are packed and ready to go to Arizona, so the whole place is empty besides a few things in the kitchen and a couch in the living room, probably some stuff upstairs too.
