chapter one: boundries
Melanie’s pov
“I’m what” I asked my dad “you heard me you’re getting married you leave tonight” I looked at my dad who looked as if he was about to cry “oh wait…wait I’m a seventeen year old girl sitting in her room watching TV on a Monday and just as I thought my life is normal here you come and now I’m getting married to a guy I don’t even know and anyways why can’t Makayla do it ?” “because your sister is still in school and if you think hard enough I think you’ll have an idea of who this guy is” I laugh “that’s crazy am I being punked or something” I say “no I’m telling you now so it wont be a surprise later” “yeah what’s gonna surprise me more than getting married might as well marry some skater dude so I can be his wife and his teacher” I say sarcastically “Melanie Isabella Madison Alexander when they come you behave yourself” “okay captain whatever you say” he gets up and kisses me on my head “I still love you“ he says he walks towards the door “oh and start packing” he closes I let agenizing yell I get up from the bed go over to my closet and grab a suitcase and a hand full of clothes I folded them and put it in my suitcase the whole time my heart wouldn’t stop pounding at the of marring this guy then I think about what happened before the love of my life left for los angles ten years ago
Ten years ago
“Melanie can I ask you something?” an eight year old skyler to the seven year old Melanie in the park playing on the swings “sure what’s on your mind.” she says stopping the swing“ he jumps off and stands in front of her “will you marry me?” she looks at him funny “don’t you think we should be older I mean why now?” she asks he steps closer “because I’m moving and if we’re married you’ll have to come with us. And I like you” “look I like you to and I’m gonna miss you a lot and I mean a lot when you leave but what about school and my family I’ll miss that to.” “then we have to make this promise.” he said taking two rings out his pocket “what’s that?” “oh my god stupid there rings!” she jumps off the swing and slaps him “not those! what is the promise…and hurry for I slap you so hard you’ll be speaking fluent pig Latin” “wait really pigs can speak Spanish I could tell them whatever” he laughs she raises her right hand over her head he flinches “okay okay the promise is that when were old enough well get married I come back for you and this is ring is the promise sealer you cant lose it” he says “sounds like a promise” Melanie sticks her hand out and he puts the ring on her hand she dose the same “I also promise I will never forget our promise” skyler says grinning like a mad man “oh yeah well prove it” Melanie says skyler just stands there she starts to walk away she turns and yells “same old skyler and your stupid lies how can I trust you when you cant prove you want to be with me” he pulls her as close as he can and kisses her ever so sweetly she felt as if the world had stopped just for them he pulled they stood there for a second blushing when Melanie grasped what had just happened she slapped him “ow what was that for Mel” skyler asks “you…kissed…me” she says angrily she pushed him back and turned away from him he kicked her leg she turned around gave him a kiss then punched him in his nose just then Makayla walks up to skyler who was lying on the floor “now that’s what I call tough love” the rambunctious blondes skipped off
Back to the present
After what seemed like forever well daydreaming and all I was finally but I was done.
I walk down stairs and get something to eat just then I hear the door bell ring I put a big cookie in my mouth and walked over and I opened the door. I see a woman about my moms age with a slim figure beautiful also, she had long honey brown hair and her eyes were a mixture of brown, green, and amber they were so pretty. “hello.” I mumbled with the cookie in still hanging out my mouth “hi dear do you remember me?” I looked at her funny she smiled “am I supposed to?” I say looking at her and she hugs me I looked over her shoulder and saw two guys the guy on her left looked at least my dads age with dark brown hair and baby blue eyes that shined in the light and the guy to the right had slate-green eyes and black hair he looked at least a year older than me and he was super cute he smiled then winked at me when he caught me staring at him I blushed and looked away from him so he wouldn’t see. The women let go “umm why are you here?” I asked the women “you’re coming to live with us in los angles” the woman says said I screamed letting the cookie fall from my mouth all three of them put there hands on there ears the guy on the right walks over to me and pinches me in my side I stop screaming and giggle “stop” he says “stop what” I reply he pinches me again I laugh “don’t talk like that to me” he says sternly “who do you think you are” I asked my mom ran down stairs “what’s with all the noise” I look at her “oh I’m sorry mom I was so shocked” I say sarcastically she smiles “Jessica how good to see you” mom says “oh Isabel same here your daughter has grown to such a beautiful young women and her chest is so..” I cover my chest “mom she’s doing it again” I say remembering when I was 12 and they came for Christmas and she talked about how I was growing in all the right places. I blushed just then I feel something snake around my legs I look down and see my little sister hugging my legs “please don’t leave” she says “I have to but before I leave I can read a bed time story” she smiles faintly tugging at her pj’s I pick her up and start to turn around but Skyler grabs her from me “fallow me” I say walking “anytime” he says fallowing me I roll my eyes when we get to Jazz-Lyn’s room he lays her down she’s already sleep I sit in a chair and grab the book when I’m done I put it back kiss her forehead and Skyler and I leave the room as I close door I hear “Melanie don’t go I love you please”
I hear footsteps run to the door I quickly grab the knob and pull I feel the tears roll down my face she beats on the door as hard she starts to kick and scream after ten minutes she finally gives up I let go of the knob and run to my room fall to my bed and start to cry I feel the bed sink from behind me I feel arms wrap around me I couldn’t help but feel a little better until I feel the person get up from the bed I look up to see skyler sitting over me with a serious expression on his face “did I do something wrong” I ask and then at the door “ you’re so insensitive have you ever been nice to a girl a day in your life” I yell “I’m sorry” he says rudely “the door is over there ok” I reply he takes off his shoes and climbs over the bed he comes very close to my face “can you say that again…Mel-bear” I slap him then look at him “don’t you call me that again in your lifetime” I trailed of being distracted by the space between me and skyler me he says then leans in and I pull back again and end up lying down with him on top of me I hear a gasp then a thump I look at the door to see Makayla “oh uh sorry Ill go now” my sister says “what is it Mickey” “oh dad says that if someone is gonna say goodbye they better come now” just then Makayla is pushed out the doorway and Kyle, Lilly, Lucas, Kagami, and Vivian burst in my room Skyler hops up from the bed and sits in the corner chair I get up and fix my shirt I see Kyle and Lucas giving skyler death glares that ‘poor misunderstood guy’ oh well “we’re gonna miss you Mel” the all say at once then hug me all together “aw I’m gonna miss ya’ll to but I’ll come back promise but for now let me go cause I cant breath” they all let go “are you gonna make the big games” Kyle says “of course I will you have my cell” I say and hug him “and mine to” I look at Lucas sternly he winks at me I hug him to I look at the girls “we‘re hornets we’re fly ” I cheer I see all four of them start to cry “and we are alive” they cried out “cause I stomp my feet we move to the beat I turn around and touch the ground then I wiggle it just a little bit” then we cheer “go hornets” I say they cry “I’m gonna miss you” they say then hug me I start to cry “Mel it’s time to go” my dad calls from down stairs “I’ll get your bags” Kyle says grabbing them we walk to the car Kyle gives my bags to driver who puts them in the trunk and I toss my backpack into the backseat of the limo I give everyone a hug then I look at Kyle “call me everyday and if you don’t I know were you live Jackson” I say “promise now come here Blondie” he said pulling me into a warming hug I rest my head on his chest he puts his hand on my face I look at him “be careful don’t make me have to come up there and whip some L.a butt” we laugh ”yeah ok stop showing off pretty boy” kagami says “ok dad number two ” I say he kisses me ever so lightly he pulls away “here I want you to have this” he says handing me his football jacket I take it and put it on “I love you Mel” Makayla says I run and hug her she hugs back “I love you too but if you ever miss me all you have to do is look in a mirror.” “oh I get it.” Lilly said out of nowhere we all look at her “cause you guys are twins” I look at her “wow I knew blonde ran in the family but I don’t know what happened to the brain” I say “come on Melanie” skyler says “bye guys” I say and walk to the skyler opens the door and I get in so then he dose the same and closes the door the limo pulls out the driveway and into the street “I’m uh” I cut him off “no you’re not you always say that but never mean it” “yes I am Mel it‘s” “yeah it is all your fault because if you didn’t get everything you wanted I wouldn’t be here right now” “what are you saying?” “that you’re the same self-absorbed egotistic conceded inpatient pig headed dog you’ve always been skyler! you’re not gonna change but I keep wishing that you would” I yell “I have Melanie you’re just to stupid to see it!” “I’d rather be attacked by three man eating sharks two raccoons and a porcupine then marry you!” I yell “please a shark would never lay a tooth on you” “just like a girl would never kiss you” I remark “well I’d bathe with a shark then attacked by a bear then marry you!” he yelled back “yeah well if I could choose between marring a pig or you I’d choose the pig!” “yeah well if I could choose between marring you or suicide id jump off the first building I see!” he yells I just shake my head I wonder did he really mean what he said because it really hurt and he looked serious “you have some serious issues you psychotic jerk” I never meant to say the things I did I just didn’t want to say what I really mean I know I was wrong but so was he and I don’t know anything anymore I hate every thing about him he’s ugly ‘liar’ shut up ‘you little heartbreaker’ who are you ‘guess’ I know you an old washed up model who lost his money then his girlfriend so he decided to commit suicide and now you’re bothering me in hopes that I’ll do something good so you can get into heaven well not gonna happen go away or else ’your mean’ and your stupid ‘please I’ll be back’ I look out the window I finally get tired and fall asleep
