Its 2 months away from graduation and honestly, my 8th grade year sucks. Bunch of drama, fakes, and petty people.
"Alright class, pick a partner." I didnt hesitate and looked at my bestfriend Claire. "Hey Wendy, want to be my partner." I turned around.
Am I dreaming or is the cute boy in my class talking to me. "Umm, sure Carlos." He did ask me first but...
"Shes mine." Claire smashed her book down the desk infront of me. Oh no. "But I asked first." He grabbed the book and gave it to her. I didn't want to be rude to Claire, even though I'd rather be with Carlos.
"Wendy?" Carlos asked me putting an a hand in my shoulder. "Hey Claire, can you please be my partner." Iselis, one of our friends asked her. Thank gawd because I really didnt want to reject Carlos.
"Fine." She rolled her eyes and walked away. I gazed out when he smiled at me. It felt so unreal. By the way, he doesn't know I like him so its an advantage.
"Thanks." We sat next to each other and he started joking around. "Okay, so like I did push ups last night." He lifted up his shirt, gawwwd! "Oh my gawd Carlos stop it." I got really cheesy.
"You know you like it babe." He squeezed my arm and carrased it. After class we didnt finish it and just sat there.
Yoli my friend passed by and he blew her a kiss. Was he really just playing with my feelings. "Yoli, I love you." He winked at her.
I faked a laugh and Yoli playfully rolled her eyes. "You are incharge to finish this for homework class!" Our teacher told us.
"Ight, meet at my place." He winked at me. Yea I know where he lives since he is about a block away. "What time.?"
"4 tomorrow saturday" he grabbed my hand playfully. "Stop playing." I playfully yanked it away. It felt so amazing but maybe he is just playing.
"Ooo" Josh and Alex teased. He embarrasedly let go and walked away. It hurt my heart to see he was ashamed of what he had done.
It was finally time to leave and Josh and Alex and I walked me home. "Hey Bestfriend, so whats going on between you and Carlitos!?" Josh teased. I can trust them so might as well tell them what I think.
