Hi everyone! So this is my first ever story on Wattpad and I really hope you like it! Please comment your opinions :) ///

A blood curdling scream coming from down the hall made you jump. Scrambling to your feet you ran to the the kitchen across the hall from your bedroom. The floor was cold from the night air pouring in through the swinging open door.

Another scream.

Ripping open drawer after drawer of the old kitchen and blinded by tears you began sobbing and shaking. Unable to find a knife you settled for the aluminum spatula setting in the sink. Stepping into the long dark hallway you whimpered,

"Momma?"

No sound

"Mom?"

Your black tabby cat Thomas came running out of the last room in the hallway, obviously shaken. Slowly making your way to the room your worst nightmare had been confirmed. Lining the hall was dropped and broken pictures of you and your family. Blood smeared across many, making it look like a horror movie.

Sobbing, you picked up your pace and dropped your weapon. The silence was unbearable. Walking in the door way you saw it.

Blood was streun across the body as it laid in its bed. It's eyes were glossy and lifeless.

Everything went black.

-Six weeks later-

Indie beats blared in your ears as you made your way through the swarming airport. People of all ethnicities dodged around you on your way to you the luggage drop. The blank and emotionless stares of the bustling people made you feel alone.

Pulling behind you was your bare essentials. A medium sized leather suit case and your laptop bag that you used as a backpack.

After security you sat in the waiting area for your plane to arrive. It was 7:48. Twelve minutes. And then a fourteen hour plane ride. You cringed at the thought. The UK was the last place you wanted to be going right now.

"You excited?"

You turned to see a young man smiling at you, obviously seeing the distaste on your face. You pretended not to hear.

"You know I don't bite." He breathed out in his heavy European accent. You smiled, trying not to seem to snobby, but you weren't really I the mood to be talking to some moron. You weren't in the mood to talk to anyone.

Over the intercom a young woman announced the flight was now boarding. Quickly as you could you stood up and headed to the ramp.

"Can I sit by you? My name is Lucas. I promise I won't talk." He smiled.

As soon as the plane got off the run way, Lucas turned to you with a cheeky grin

"So what brings you across the pond?"

He waved his hand in front of you as if to represent the distance. You shrugged your shoulders, still not having said a word to him.

"Alright miss silence I see how it is." He quickly went to his book trying not to seem embarassed. It was Romeo and Juliet, the classic Shakespeare play. You studied him as he read the book. Why would someone like him read such an outdated book. He glanced up,

"So you like Shakespeare?"

"No, I just-" your voice cracked,

"AHHHA! I got you to speak."

A look of pride spread across his tanned features.

"So?" You retorted.

"Well I just figured since you were so quiet that was an accomplishment" he laughed awkwardly.
