Law didn't need to walk much. He soon entered a clearing.
There were grand looking walls and furniture, along with curtains and other household decorations. There was a sort of balcony at the further back, with two stairs on either sides to go upstairs. There was no one in the room except Law, and the two other figure above the balcony.
Law quickly recognized both of the beings, one to be his ally, and the other his enemy.
???: Oh my look who's here! I certainly did not expect you to pay me a visit, Law.
There was venom in the man's voice.
Law: Shut it, Raikou. We both know what I came here for. Give Rin back.
Raikou: *hugs Rin closer* You already took everything from me. My money, my fame, my power and my identity! You really believe I'm just going to let you take Rin away? Besides, you know nothing about her, absolutely nothing. You probably think she gave up on life and doesn't care about life. You probably think she's pathetic. But it's not true! She's struggling every day every moment. She's striving to keep up with life. She too is human. She's not dead either, yet, that is. A part of her is already dead though, it's lifeless and already gave up. But the other part still held on to hope. Her beat is still beating! And even though she won't admit it, deep deep inside her she's hoping for someone to come and save her! And that's me! Why don't you try to understand? We're made from broken parts, we are broken from the start. It's destiny. We are meant for each other. So why are you still fighting?!
Law stumbled for a moment. What Raikou said is not a lie. It's a true fact. Law really doesn't know anything about her. And what Raikou is saying about himself is true too. But even though all these thoughts flew through Law's mind, he never once thought about giving up on Rin.
"I can't just let it be," Law said, "You said you two are meant for each other since both of you are broken. I admit she'll be safe here but I can't imagine how you're going to keep her happy. I also admit you know how hard it is for her, and I don't. From what you're saying you mean both of you are going to stay here for the rest of your life and stay like this forever. However, that's not what I'm trying to do you see. *smirk* I'm gonna change her. I'm gonna make her happy again. That's my objective, apparently. And I can't trust you with it. So I'm taking her with me.
"Why are you doing this?" Raikou snapped again. "What is Rin to you? Why are you so worried about her? Aren't you a goddamn pirate??"
"Why?" Law asked, more to himself than to Raikou, though. "To be honest I don't know myself. But I already swore I'll protect her from all my heart."
Law notices the stare Rin gives him.
"That's not a good enough reason! She's coming with me. But if you still want her back, fine. Do what you want. Guards!!! Kill him!!!" Raikou shouted. At the end of his command, guards from both the stairs came down along with guards which came from the sides and behind Law.
Without another word, Raikou turned, carrying Rin and disappeared into the far room. However, before they completely vanished, Rin turned her head slightly and said something.
She was too far to be heard by Law, buy he could barely manage to translate the sentence by the way her lips moved.
"I'm not worth your protection"
