Can You smell it?

I slowly scrolled through my instagram pictures.I looked at one that always brought back memories to me.

It was a picture of me and my dad posing with donald duck's footprints

I lived in Cali for like,my entire life

But my dad found a Job here at holmes chapel

So we moved here.

I really miss my friends,

Alice and Megan

I wont miss my school

Of course

I kept on scrolling through the pictures trying to find a good one for my profile picture.

I scrolled

And scrolled

And scrolled

I didnt have good pictures

So i decided to take one

I looked out the window

Watching cars pass by

We passed by a bakery,i should go there sometime

I looked at my iPhone and smiled

As soon as i heard "click", i quickly turned it Over to see my picture

The picture looked blurry since the car was moving fast and my hands are shaking

Probably because we're on our way to school to subscribe me

I kept on looking at my pic

I look pretty ugly for a 13 year old like me

I turned off my iPhone and hid it in the

pocket of my jeans.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car.

I looked at the big building that was infront of me.

It was 2 stories high

"Woah",i said with a surprised face

You could even see the excitment in my Brown hazel eyes.

I grabbed my moms hand like a little kid afraid to be stolen or hitted by a car.When i opened the door,Woah it was beautiful

The lockers, the classes

Just

WOW

We headed to the office

I kept on staring at the shiny floor staring at my reflection

"Good morning!,how may i help You with?", an old eldery woman said.She had grey short hair, and warm eyes.

She looked down to me and gave me a warm smile.

I smiled back

"Well where can i sign up my daughter?"

"Oh for that You need to go to the school cafeteria,its right in the corner",the eldery woman said,looking down at some papers.

Thanks,mom said

We walked out of the office and went to the school cafeteria

It was the biggest cafeteria that i had Ever seen

It had atleast 9 tables

At the corner of the 3rd table sat a woman with papers infront of her

We walked to were she was.

Hello! Nice to meet You.

Yeah we're here to sing up my daughter",mom said smiling at her.

Oh sure sure first You need to fill up these papers.

My mom filled in the papers for me

While she was doing it

I looked around the cafeteria with sympathy.

Okay now You need to go to Mrs.quiznos office and she will give You your schedule

A few minutes later we were on our way back to the car.

Can You smell it?,mom said

Smell what?,i said looking around

The start of a new life here,mom said
