Chapter 1

BLAKE'S POV

''Come on, Blake. We're going to the store and you're coming,'' Caitlyn yelled as she pulled me off the couch. ''Nooooooooooooo. I'm too lazy. Just bring me something back,'' I groaned. ''Nope. You're coming with us,'' she told me, again. I finally got up and immediately felt the impact of something hit my face. I jerked back and saw it was my shoes. I also heard laughing from the others. ''Let's go!'' Haley shouted and ran outside. Dylan, Sabrina, and Caitlyn following her. I sighed and did the same.

As we walked down the street, Haley sang Sober by Selena Gomez very loudly and horribly. Dylan was picking up sticks and throwing them at passing cars and Sabrina was yelling at him. Caitlyn was talking but clearly no one was listening. ''Let's cross the street,'' I told them because I saw a strange man wearing a leather jacket and dark sun glasses. His dark hair gave me goosebumps and he was leaning against a white van that looked mighty roomy.

''Psst.... Hey kids!'' The man yelled making us stop for a second. ''Just keep walkin','' I whispered and we started to speed walk except for Haley. ''Haley! Come on!'' I whisper/yelled.

''What do you want?'' Haley asked the man and I groaned. ''Whatever happened to 'Don't Talk To Strangers'?'' I questioned her.

''Y'all want some candy?'' He asked. ''NO!!!!!'' We yelled except Haley. ''What kind of candy?'' Haley questioned. ''Uhhh...... Jolly Ranchers...?'' ''Okay!!''

''No, Haley!'' Caitlyn shouted but Haley took the candy and ran off. ''Run, GUYS!!!'' We all groaned and ran after her.

We soon got to the store and sat at one of tables. Out of breath, Dylan managed to say, ''Why would you take candy from a stranger?'' Haley just laughed and popped the orange-colored candy into her mouth. ''Don't eat it!'' Caitlyn yelled. ''Oh, great,'' Sabrina said, sarcastically. It was silent for a moment until Haley spoke. ''Still alive!'' She threw her fist in the hair with joy. ''Now you guys have to eat the candy, too.''

''uhh let me think about that.....uhm....NO!'' Dylan shouted grabbing the attention of people around us. ''Oh come on. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.... right?'' Haley told us and I tilted my head. ''Yea, but this could possibly kill us,'' I told the idiot. Silence grew over the group once more.

Sabrina smiled, weirdly, and squealed....... ''I CALL THE PINK ONE!!'' She yelled and grabbed it. Dylan grabbed the red one and Caitlyn grabbed the blue one.

''Oh Well.... we're in this, together.'' I said before putting the purple jolly rancher in my mouth.
