"Emma Watson," Mrs. King shouted, searching the room for an answer.

"Here," I whispered, just loud enough for Mrs. King to hear. I hated being called on for anything, and I was always quiet. No matter how much I wanted to shout the answer, or confidently shout my name back when a teacher called role, I was always quiet. As you could probably already figure out, I didn't have many friends. At all. Except for my two best friends, the ones I met during art class two years back. I am always to first one to finish a test, yet the last to turn mine in. Once again, my shyness kicks into gear. I always finish projects and assignments the day they were assigned. I am bullied. But out of school, no matter how crazy this sounds, I'm one hell of a beast.

Hi, I'm Emma Watson, The school's biggest nerd.

At my school, if there is a new kid that comes during the middle of the year, every single teacher of every single class will introduce them, wether or not you've had a previous class with them or not. In fact, when the new kid came, I didn't even know about him until 4th period when Mr. Morris told us pay attention to him for just a quick moment. Normally, he would start role right away. On a special day like today, Mr. Morris had the whole class confused, while the occasional grin from the back of class appeared. Some people already knew what was happening. Me you ask? I was looking at Mr. Morris like he was a fish out of the water; or like snow in the summer.

"Hello, Class, Most of you are aware of whats going on, the other seem more confused..." He started, giving me direct eye contact. I blushed and looked down at my math work and still didn't lift my head up, even when Mr. Morris was talking.

"So, Travis, would you like to tell us more about yourself?" Mr. Morris questioned. I looked up a little bit to the side and saw Amy Collins, The most popular girl in the whole school, looking like she just met One Direction. I presumed he was hot, based on the constant sighs and giggles from the back of the classroom. I continued to focus on my work when I felt the seat beside me shift.

Please don't be the new kid, Please, Please, Please!

I slowly looked up and saw a new face, no doubt it was Travis. He was cute, and only when he stared back at me did I blush at the mistake of checking him out. I was about to cry of embarrassment. I tried to focus back on my work when I hear a soft voice from above me.

"And you are?" Travis had asked. I continued to do my work, in no doubt he was talking to Amy. I just stayed silent, waiting for her way-too-high-pitched voice to respond. I looked up and saw Travis was looking right at me.

"O-Oh, you were talking to me..." I softly responded.

"Yup." He emphasized the 'p' at the end making a popping noise.

"You don't need to know- I would only ruin your popularity." I stated, looking out the window.

"Who said I was popular?"

All I did was point at the faces staring at us in awe as we chatted away. I decided to tune him out for the rest of class as he talked to Bryce, the guy sitting behind him. Bryce was the running back for the football team, and there was no doubt that they would soon become best friends. I shuddered at the thought. I really don't like Bryce, and it still surprises me that his ego fits into the school halls.

"BRINGGGGGGG" The bell rung and I quickly shoved my notebook and pencil back into my backpack before it being knocked to the ground, with all its contents spilling out like water in a dropped cup. I lowered to my knees to gather my things as i heard a few snickers from around me. I didn't even had to look at the guy before knowing exactly who it was. Joe Harper, also known as 'big-boy joe' in my mind. He had bullied me for so long about being a nerd and having no friends. It didn't bother me as much as it used to, for I just zone him out most of the time. I quickly left before he could push me down again.
