Hi, my name is Isabelle Blaire Ashford. At the age of twelve, both my parents were killed in an accident and I was taken in by my uncle Benjamin. He lives in a mysterious and remote place called Moonacre Valley, and for as long as I've lived here I've been positive it holds a huge secret.
I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself. I am currently 17 years old with raven black hair and dark green eyes. I have a rather pale complexion and am only 5 '5". Unlike nearly every woman around me, with huge lacy dresses and pink frills, I hate bright colors and am not overly fond of dresses. I prefer black and reds and would much rather be seen around caked in mud then dolled up to look frigid and fake.
I love riding around the property on my beautiful black steed, Aiden, and I can often be found in my room with a sketch book. I'm not the best at rule following, so you won't always catch me doing what I'm told, and I have been well trained in self defense, so it's rare that I don't have some type of weapon on me.
Anyway, my uncle has recently informed me that a cousin of mine, Maria Merryweather, I believe, will be coming to live with us due to the recent death of her father. I'm not exactly happy to have to share the house, but I suppose I should give her a chance.
