Episode 18: Easter Island

Sora began to laugh as Biyomon poked at the purple dye spreading around her beak. The two had been painting eggs and some how, purple dye had managed to find it's way to the Digimon's beak.

"Soraaaaa!" Biyomon whined. "Stop laughing at meeeee!"

Sora giggled once more before taking a wet towel and wiping the dye as best as she could off of her partner's mouth. Then, she kissed it. "There you go, Biyo."

Lapis couldn't help but stare at the house in front of her. The for sale sign hanging from a post in the ground made her sick to her stomach. She couldn't believe how their lives had turned in such a short time.

Warm arms encircled her small frame from behind. A head of brown hair poked next to her face, a small, sad smile on pink, plump lips. "It'll be okay."

"They've moved, because they don't know where he is. He hasn't returned home since the day I moved to Japan. He's spent all of his time in the Digital World, and for what? To kill innocent Digimon?" Lapis growled softly, roughly wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her hoodie.

Michaela sighed. "We were all once under the control of Devimon or some other dark general. I was helping Lilithmon before I found my crest. Somehow, the Crest of Vanity brought my to my senses."

"I just don't get why Jesse is still this way... Could he and Coredramon be infected?" Lapis's body shook as her thoughts darkened. Kayla was lucky to come to her senses after losing her partner, but could Jesse be redeemed? She didn't think he could, if she was being honest.

"It's possible." Michaela sighed. She crossed her arms over her chest, wishing there was something that could be done to help her friends. Even as annoying as Jesse could be, he was still her friend, and Lapis's, and she still cared.

Coredramon let out a roar, scaring the Terriermons and Lopmons into hiding. Tururiemon and Gargomon got into fighting stances, ready to protect their friends.

"Gauntlet Claw!" Tururiemon jumped at the green monster with rabbit-like agility and struck with the gauntlets on its arms.

"Gargo Pellets!" Gargomon cried. Bullets hailed from the guns on its arms and struck Coredramon.

Coredramon roared in pain for only a moment before he went back to destroying their village, and their friends.

Yolei, Ken, and Cody decided to go to the Digital World for some lunch when they saw a plume of black smoke rising into the blue sky. It wasn't too far from them, either.

"Should we check it out?" Yolei questioned as she put her hand over her eyes to try and see better.

Cody's eyes widened as he heard a familiar roar. "Someone's in trouble!"

"Let's go!" Ken said, hurrying off with Wormmon on his tail. He held his Digivice in his hands. "It's time to Digivolve!"

"Wormmon digivolve to... Stingmon!" Stingmon formed in place of Wormmon, cutting through the air to move faster.

"Digi-armor energize!" Cody called out.

"Armadillomon armor digivolve to... Digimon! The Drill of Power!" Digimon stood tall, hand and nose drills running rapidly.

"Hawkmon!" Yolei shouted to her partner.

"Hawkmon, digivolve to.... Aquilamon!" The beautiful bird Digimon flew through the sky, matching the pace of his bug friend.

The group emerged into a bright, wide clearing. Smoke drifted from burnt and destroyed buildings. Several digi-eggs rested on the ground, but others had been completely smashed. Several small white and brown Digimon cowered behind two bigger Digimon.
