Aaliyah POV
"Baby." A voice called I couldn't see where it was as all I could see is darkness.

"Aaliyah." The voice called again.

"Baby girl?" I open my eyes to see Wardell peering over me . He reaches out for me and I move away.

"Why?" I simply say. He looks at me confused.

"Why did you cheat on me?" I breathed. He gave me a look then put his hand on my forehead.

"Aaliyah are you feeling alright?" He asked. I take his hand off my head.

"What happened?" I asked getting up. He's sighed.

"I don't know you opened the door and you just stared at me with tears streaming down your face. I tried calling you but you didn't respond and eventually you blacked out." Wardell said

"Really I must have imagined it all." Whispering to myself.

"What?" He asked. Shaking my head I get off the couch.

"Do you have to work today?" I asked walking to the kitchen to fix me something to drink.

"Yes but I'm leaving later around 5 or 6 something like that." He answered. I stopped.

"What do you do for work Stephen?" I questioned. He paused for a moment and looked at his feet.

"Uh remember NBA?" He answered. I shake my head yes.

"Yeah of course that I mean on the side you always go to work even on your days off." Putting my cup down.

"I have meeting about branding and contracts." He answered calmly. I decide to shake it off not wanting him to get pushed any further.

"So what are we gonna do today?" He asked coming up to me wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I don't know about you but I've got business to take care of." Pushing his hands off my waist I go up the stairs and start getting dress. Pretty soon I'm in high wasted jeans and a black crop top with some Jordan's. Grabbing my purse I go out the door into the car. I pick up my phone dialing Zach's number.

"Hello." A girl picks up.

"Uh hello who is this?" I asked confused.

"This is Violet who is this?" She questioned back.

"Uh I'm Aaliyah do you by any chance know someone named Zach?" I asked.

"Well of course that's my boyfriend I'm using his phone right now." She sweetly said.

"Oh well could you tell him to give me a call I'm an old friend from uh high school and I was hoping we could catch up." I nervously say.

"Ok I guess I'll let him know." She said unsure.

"Okay thanks have a nice day bye." I quickly hang up the phone. So he never was on break with his girlfriend either that or their breaks are like one day. shaking my head I drive back home. A black escalade is parked in the driveway. I cautiously get out the car approaching the vehicle. Looking in the car no one was there.

"There you are." A voice says. I scream at the top of my lungs as I get pulled into someone. I breath when I see Zach.

"What the hell Zach!" I whisper yelling. Suddenly I see Steph walk out the door. My eyes go wide.

"Run Zach." I tell him. He dives in the bushes.

"Aaliyah was that you who screamed?" Wardell asked. I nod.

"Uh yeah I thought a bug was on me." I laugh nervously. He shakes his head smiling.

"Who's car is this?" He questioned. I thought for a second.

"The neighbors asked if they could park it here for a minutes it's all good though." I smile. He nods.

"Ok, you coming in?" He smiled I nod. He pulls my arm I look back at Zach.

"Go." I mouth. He nods. Finally going in the house I sit down resting my head on the couch.

"I'm gonna go take a shower I'll be back." Steph calls as he walks down the hallway. I flick the television on seeing my favorite show on. Soon I fall asleep because of exhaustion.

*Sometime Later*

A loud bang occurs. I look up to see Zach at the window.

"Let me in." He said.

"No and keep your voice down." I whispered. He starts to open the window but I stop him.

"Steph is gonna see you." I said frantically.

"You don't have to worry about that." He muttered.

"What do you mean he went to take a shower." I said confused.

"Let me in and I'll explain." I finally give up and let him jump in. He dust himself off.

"Look you might wanna sit down for this." He motioned to the couch. I sit down.

"Ok so this is what happened:

Flashback

I was trying to look for you to tell you that you dropped your keys when you screamed so I started to look into the windows of your house. I start to look out into the first window you weren't there. But the second window I saw Steph in. I almost left and kept searching until I heard him talking.

"Yeah she's sleep but this morning was a close one she started to ask why I was cheating and yesterday she walked in on us your so lucky she believed my lie." He said. That's when I was shocked and confused.

"Yeah I'm coming to pick you up now. Of course she's gonna be asleep for awhile."

Flashback over

"So he lied to me." I looked up to Zach. He nodded.

"I'm sorry." He apologises.

"Why, you didn't do anything." I said reassuring him. He rested his hand on my thigh.

"You'll be fine." He said. I shake my head.

"I'm so stupid." I shake my head. I soon grabbed my phone dialing Klay's number.

"Hello." A loud noise filled the background making it hard to hear him.

"Are you with Steph?" I asked. He got quiet.

"No." He said.

"Don't lying to me Klay." I demanded.

"I swear he isn't he left an hour ago." He says huffing.

"Did he have a....a girl with him?" I asked my voice breaking. He didn't respond making me know his answer.

"I'm so sorry Aaliyah I really am." He whispered into the phone.

"Please stop being sorry." I cried. He sighs.

"It'll be alright baby girl he hasn't realised you are a offer of a lifetime." He persuades but it just goes through one ear and out the next.

"Thanks Klay." I say emotionless.

"You welcome Aaliyah remember your strong." He says and with that I hang up.

"It's true he is with her." I tell Zach he just shakes his head. Zach opens his mouth but soon the knob on the front door jiggles.
