The Brother's Bond

I don't want you to go away or for things to change.

For so long in our lives we have been walking on the same road and the same lane.

My job as a big brother is to always protect you.

And that will always be my job no matter what anyone do.

We played all the time, it was just you and me.

We was close as brothers can be.

We argue everyday and always hanging out.

But recently we have been fighting more, arguing until we shout.

It's never been this bad and I'm starting to get scared.

That one day we both won't even care.

We won't care about each other and pull further apart.

That's something that's going to destroy my heart.

I know I'm not the best big brother but I still want you to know,

That I love you bro and I don't want you to go.

As we grow older we walk away from each other.

I guess I'm not ready to let go of my little brother.

I don't want you to go or for things to change.

Sadly to say, we both are walking in different lanes.

This poem is about a promise I made.

To protect my brother through all of this pain.

I'll protect him even if we are walking our own way,

Because we are brothers and I'll make sure that he's ok.
