Soccer. Thats the sport we are doing in gym for the next couple weeks. Im actually looking forward to it, Soccer is a fun sport. Im a Sophomore at Rocweb High School and gym class is my favorite class. Not just because you get to goof off and be actice, but also because i actually have people i like in my class.
In the locker room i get changed quick. Around me is hardly anyone because i get there early wasting no time to arrice. This is smart of me because then it gives me more time to socialize before we actually head out to the soccer field. I make my way over to the main gym where most people hang before class. Some people dont change at all so their are already people there. I walk up to a couple of my friends. Jerry and McKenize. I don't say anything right away and they don't aknowledge me because they are in what seems to be a very heated discussion. Mckenzie is talking so fast, because she suffers from ADHD, that i only catch a few words every now and then. It sounded like flirt, front, jerk. Thats all i caught. Luckily Jerry started talking and i became more clear on the situation.
"Mckenzie, 1. I wasn't flirting with Kelly and 2. why does it matter if i was in front of Leah at the time?" Jerry told Mckenzie.
Mckenzie quickly replied in a dissapointed voice, "you really cant see it can you?"
"See what?"
Mckenzie just made a sound that sounded like ughh in response then turned to me. "Oh hey Riley."
I dont talk much. Im ussually quiet in school but when i do talk i have as much fun as possible and sometimes i get carried away with it and end up getting in trouble. I respond, "sup McKenzie?"
"Same as you, just waiting for class to start"
"Ready for Soccer today?"
She just laughs in response. McKenzie loved soccer. She wasnt the best on her team but she was good. I've been friends with her for a couple years now so i have been to a couple of her games.
Jerry asked again but more irritated this time, "See what?"
Mckenzie just looked at me and said, "I cant deal with him right now i'll talk to you later." Then she walks up to a couple other friends in the same gym period as us.
I ask Jerry, "So what was all that anyways" i laugh a little.
"I wish i knew, why are girls so fucking crazy dude."
"I think it has something to do with guys relying on them more and more for sex and stuff that they just started taking advantage of it."
"Dude, If i was actually having sex i would let McKenzie yell at me all day."
"You'll get there eventually dude."
He laughs, "dont say it like you've done it."
"How do you know i havn't?" I ask him confidently but with a smile on my face.
He just gives me a look that says 'As if that is gonna happen anytime soon.'
I admit to him, "Well maybe i havn't yet but you get me dude."
"Yah i get you. Lets go fine Coach Benson"
We walk around the gym which is now flooded with people and eventually find Coach B standing by a couple other people in our class. After walking closer i recognize them. It was Dan, Sara, and Jill. Dan was the kinda kid who almost always handed in his homework and nobody would ever expect to throw back a punch if he were in that type of situation. Jill and Sarah were the athletic type. They played a lot of sports and spent a lot of time together in class. Leaning against the wall in front of all of us is Coach B. He's talking to Dan about some soccer team i dont know about. Then he looks at me and Jerry and takes our attendance on his clipboard.
